The Angler Lodge, hotel in Dunsmuir

This hotel is just a few blocks from historic downtown Dunsmuir. Rooms at The Angler Lodge are equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave. All rooms are nonsmoking and include cable TV.

What I liked the most is that the property is modern. We got late and could access the room with the code with no issues. The room had a smart TV and the wifi strong enough to complete our work. On the top of that, it was the cheapest one around the area.

The location, waterbed, kitchen, living room all are great. Mt. Shasta is 10 minutes away, and Hedge Creek Falls is even closer. I visited the falls during a very rainy few days, and it was spectacular! I really enjoyed my stay. I would stay there again.

Mount Shasta Resort, hotel in Dunsmuir

This all-season resort in Mount Shasta is located on 126 acres and features an 18-hole golf course. Sacred Mountain Spa, the Highland House Restaurant, and free Wi-Fi are available.

We were in a quiet chalet on Lake Siskyou and ate at the Highland House restaurant in the reception building on a golf course. Everything was perfect. This was one of the easiest and most relaxing trips that we have taken. I am excited to have such a great place to visit in that area.I hope that I'm able to visit again in the near future.

I've already reviewed Dunsmuir but you need to make sure your information on your website is more honest about the check-in process at the diner next door. It's fine if you get someone nice but we had grumpy and nice...very grumpy. Just saying it is 24 hr check in is not enough.

Dunsmuir is a charming city nestled in deep a valley of trees below the towering Shasta mountain. The people of Dunsmuir are some of the nicest folks in the country and know how to brew some delicious beer as well as cook up some delicious cuisine.

An off-freeway, town that supports the Lake Shasta tourism and visitors. The locals are friendly and Dunsmuir is quiet and beautiful. I found it to be central of location for great outdoor fun. The hiking, water play in mountain rivers, and lakes, so much to see and do! Dunsmuir is the place to go back to stay, rest, refresh, and do it again the next day.

The quaint Amtrak station and the brilliant Cafe Maddalena next to it are must visits. The entire town feels like the clock stopped there from the 20's or 30's. Must check out the theatre, shops and walk around town. Friendly locals who can readily guide and give you suggestions. Easy distance from Mt. Shasta.

Lovely botanical gardens and city park with playground (and bathrooms) is well worth a visit. We walked there while charging our electric car, then had lunch at the highly reviewed Yaks Cafe. The gardens are an interesting mix of native plants, rhododendrons and other interesting collections. Trails go to the river. It feels like a bit of heaven and makes for a quiet restful stop if you just need to get off the I-5 freeway for an hour. Highly recommended.

Many things to do with kids in nature; botanical gardens, playgrounds, parks and hiking trails with waterfalls. Be sure to check before hiking to waterfalls because some trails are very close to active railroad tracks.

Charming motel was comfortable, clean and in a terrific location - easy access to the I-5 but far enough away to be very quiet. Lovely treed view with a hillside of wild flowers. Manager very pleasant, provided us with some of Dunsmuir's history. Would like to have had time to visit the town, definitely would stay at the Lodge again.

We chose the Dunsmuir Inn primarily for it's location; it was just the right distance from our night before and home on our recent road-trip. We were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and quiet our room was, especially given that it was not far from I-5. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Dunsmuir Inn to other travelers.

The Cedar Lodge Motel is very conveniently located in Dunsmuir and a short drive to the center of town. Given its location with respect to Interstate 5 freeway, the environment around the motel was very quiet. The room was quite comfortable with the ac unit keeping the room cool during the day.

Check in was smooth and we were given good advice to find dinner before checking into room. Traveling early in the week limits eating options in Dunsmuir but had an excellent pizza.
