The staff at the Inn and the restaurant were amazing. They were friendly, warm, and came over to talk with us when we were having breakfast. The rooms had a nice rustic feel that made it seem more homey. The little touches like the goat's milk hand soap were nice. We loved meeting Claire the cat!!

It's a welcoming, warm, hard wood floors, easy to get to. Amenities available. I'm definitely making Brook Road my destination when skiing Sunapee.

The room was spacious, it was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

The room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful lobby space.
Hotel in the mountains: Take advantage of an arcade/game room, a fireplace in the lobby, and a bar at Bluebird Sunapee . For some rest and relaxation, visit the hot tub.
The common man is always a great stay, great location, great...
The common man is always a great stay, great location, great staff very clean and welcoming! The rooms are great spacious with nice decor and comfortable beds. The only issue which would not stop me from continuing to come back is the breakfast! The area is way to small, in the corner of the main lobby, very busy has to come back for coffee twice it is a bit frustrating if you go at the wrong time the food options are typical for a continental breakfast but needs a better location and more seating would be nice if the breakfast was in the restaurant instead for just breakfast hours huge recommendation!
Lovely New England vibe...The Common Man exceeded my expectations for the following reasons: excellent breakfast options ( yogurt, granola, egg sandwiches, delicious coffee ); the staff were warm, friendly, polite, and they accommodated my request to be near my friend. I loved hearing the sounds of the waterfall, and could easily picture the place as a former Mill. There was a Christmas tree up, and a lazy cat lounged in the lobby...making it just as cozy as it could be! Thank you for a wonderful getaway!
Nice hotel with friendly staff and breakfast available. They have a hot tub, which is a plus, but it can get crowded as it is small. They have a restaurant in the property with good food, but they don't offer any discount or deal for hotel guests. It was a good place to stay while skiing in Vermont.
Like the location and value for the money. It has everything you need in room: from coffee maker, refrigerator, Microwave oven to ironing board and hair dryer. The motel sits quietly along a creek yet it is only 2-3 miles driving to commercial area where you can find restaurants and super market.
Very nice even not considering its price. Really enjoyed our stay. Hot tub is definitely a nice thing to try during winter.
Common area is very enjoyable as well. I wish all the budget US hotels were at least half that good.
It was a Monday morning, so there were few guests. We felt we had the lobby breakfast area to ourselves lounging in front of the fireplace with the Inn’s regal kitty cat. It all couldn’t have been more pleasant.
The location was a little for the main area of town. It is close to the VT bridge. A good place if you are going to Mt. Ascutney or Windsor VT. The price was $40/$50 less then other places.
As far as I know they don't have breakfast. I took this room because it is close to where I was going. This is a cheap hotel remodeled by the owners. It is on the low side of hotels I use.
Beautiful hotel very busy the weekend I was there. Was able to see the water fall. Parking is a very slight issue. Hotel provides top quality soaps and creams for the guests.
This is a very modest hotel. Very tiny rooms, but very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Minimal amenities, but for the price this was what we expected.
