Overall, Williamsburg was a beautiful city to visit.
Overall, Williamsburg was a beautiful city to visit. Definitely coming back! Trash and liter always takes away from the overall appearance of a city, community and country. Rarely saw so much trash while visiting overseas. In America 🇺🇸 way too much.

I loved Williamsburg, but then I love history and architecture, art, shopping and good food. I live in Northern Virginia, and the food is pretty dreadful. Everything I ate in Williamsburg was really good--such a nice change.
I enjoyed shopping in Colonial Williamsburg and in New Town. I had a great time, and I'll be back.

The historic city is like our second home.
The historic city is like our second home. We go there at least twice a year. We no longer through the buildings because we've been in each one multiple times, but love walking around the streets. It would be nice for CW to offer a bus pass separate from the admission ticket for a minimal price, just in case you've seen all the buildings but want to get from the visitor center to the town.

A lot of shops were closed at the market place and the restaurants were also closed or short staffed which made a lot of people mad after talking to them as we walked around Williamsburg. They advertised that the stores were open all year

It' a great place to visit to get a real feel for the 18th century. Re-enactors are professional and convincing. It gives life to a distant age. Instead of seeing just buildings, furnishings and museums, you see how folks lived at high and low levels of society. The authenticity makes for a very memorable experience. You can go time after time and see new activities and items. It never gets boring.

We enjoyed both the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg...
We enjoyed both the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. The main reason for staying in Williamsburg was that we had purchased annual passes for Busch Gardens. We started and ended our 2023 Williamsburg travels with Christmas Town at Busch Gardens.
The Colonial Williamsburg visitor center was full of useful information. It also contained a large parking lot where you could catch a shuttle bus to many point around the Colonial Williamsburg area, including the Museum. Our family found the live character narratives to be quite informative concerning the history of Williamsburg and its place in US History.
Rooms are clean with convenient bed configurations for families with kids (one of the few 2-bedroom options in Williamsburg with 1 king bed and 2 twin beds). A full kitchen helps us avoid the hassle of extra meals at restaurants with tired kids. Kids love the pool area with both indoor and outdoor pools and spas. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the ability to send requests and receive alerts via text messages is very convenient. We have stayed here twice previously, and maintenance seems to have improved since the HGV acquisition last year.
The continental breakfast was terrible and there were far too many guests shoved in the breakfast area, which is set up galley style, but with probably 75 guests trying to fit in a space designed for fewer than 30 guests. The a/c unit squealed like a dying animal, and the room smelled like sewage. I based my booking off of other online reviews, but the experience was nowhere what I expected for the ratings, and I stay in chain hotels all the time. I won't be choosing Best Western again.
Location is excellent, right on Bypass Road you're literally two minutes from Colonial Williamsburg and a 10-15 minute ride to Busch Gardens. 7-11 right across the street in case you get hit with a snacc attac. This is really the biggest draw for this place IMO. I liked not being on the 'main hotel drag' because the traffic in that area gets a little nuts. The pool/hot tub area and the exercise room both looked good though I did not use my son did and was happy with both.
Courtney and her staff made this a great experience. Seriously friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about Williamsburg. The room was very clean and beds we're comfortable. The hotel is located in the middle of everything; 10 minutes from Busch Gardens and Water Country and 10 minutes from Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg shops. The value is unbeatable, especially if you're like us and just really sleeping and getting ready in the rooms. Great trip. We will definitely be back.
We went to Williamsburg for a family trip with a baby. We got two of the king suite rooms, which were a great choice because it meant we had sitting areas to relax and play games as a family. The beds were comfortable and spacious, and the rooms were very clean. The staff was extremely helpful. The location was convenient for getting to the sights around Williamsburg.
We chose to stay at Super 8 for a one day trip to Busch Gardens. The hotel is near Colonial Williamsburg and not too for from Busch Gardens. Price was good. Beds are comfortable. Refrigerator, coffee maker, iron and ironing board in room. Water pressure was good. Neighbors were friendly and quiet. Nice outdoor pool.
Great location near the attractions (especially Colonial Williamsburg). The campsite was very family friendly and the kids enjoyed the pool, the playground, and the game room. We enjoyed meeting other campers - so much more fun at the cabin than at a hotel!
I love the breakfast menu! So well-rounded and more than what most hotels offer. I choose Sleep Inn consistently because of the breakfast and the friendly staff. I find this consistent in the several Sleep Inn locations I have stayed at.
Very clean, comfortable and quiet room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a better than average hotel buffet, plenty of choice which changed every day. Ideal for the old town. Choice of walkable restaurants nearby.
The location is perfect for visiting Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Conveniently located near all the major roads connecting to important areas. Ample parking. Breakfast is the standard hotel fare but gets the job done.
It is an older motel that has been updated a bit. Room was clean, clean sheets, newer bed, great value. Much better value than bigger name hotels in the area. Very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.
Great location, right in Colonial Williamsburg. Huge room with sliding doors to private large wooded area. Able to bring dog. Other than check in at a different facility, we did not see any staff at this hotel.
We stayed in suite 317. The room was very spacious, clean, well equipped for cooking and the air conditioning was wonderful. When I travel to Williamsburg again I will stay here. And would love that same room 317.
Hotel and amenities were perfect. Room lovely and clean and comfortable. Breakfast there was a great choice of hot and cold food. Fresh juice and hot drinks. Plenty of bread choices to toast
Breakfast included, pretty typical for hotel choices. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Location close to Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary was perfect.
I was very pleased with everything, room, breakfast, staff and nearness to historic attractions. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Williamsburg.
