Catskill is a town, which we didn't visit this time, but it is also the Mountains. We used to live in the area for the summers from 1985 - 95, so we know it well. We visited the site of the old Catskill Mountain House, and also the Kaaterskill Falls Observation deck, which was wonderful on this beutiful spring day. Also visited the Storm King Art Center on the way up, which was also wonderful.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and smelled fresh. It was a great price, but this is a no frills kind of place. Everything including beds, pillows, linens, fixtures and appliances are dated. I would recommend this place if you are not too fussy about amenities and quality of the bedding, etc.

I love thsee mountains.
I love thsee mountains. I plan to spend more time exploring them. We found an excellent restaurant that spoiled us and was delicious. The "Bluestone". Very near the Redranch motel.

The room was very clean. Even the pool water was crystal blue! The owners were incredibly kind.
The room had nice amenities. There was a large fridge, strong ac, cable tv, and a playgtound and pool for the kids. There was no iron or hair dryer in the room, but they were delivered to our room upon request.
The motel is an incredible value. Other places in the area were, litetally, were asking for 3x as much. I would not hesitate to book at Four Seasons again.
Pros:
Beautiful setting, remote and quiet. Nature at its best! Heavenly and idyllic views of pond and mountains in the background. Spacious funky colorful room with a king comfortable and cozy bed. Well situated with lots of places to explore nearby. Basic kitchen things which is helpful for the quick coffee oatmeal in the morning. Friendly and helpful caretakers.
Super beautiful cozy place. Very comfortable, loved the set up of the room. It felt very safe for the area. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. TV had all the apps to watch shows/movies. Fridge was a perfect size. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Can't wait to return in the future to see the pool, and all the upgrades. Still a very new motel.
Availability, location and cost were the main factors as our plans changed last minute and we needed a place to stay in the area. Check in was very simple and person who greeted us was pleasant and efficient. The room was clean and had what we needed for a short stay. The air conditioning was excellent.
The motel had a diner 1 mile down the road and a brewery 2 miles in the other direction. Not far from the hiking trails we did in the Catskills. Bed was comfortable overall (spring mattress), there was easy access to the tv, and the bathroom had hot water and good pressure in the shower.
Coming into the property with a gate code. The bed was very comfortable. We were here the day after the EXTREMELY heavy rains in the area so I do not think we saw everything in the best condition. There seemed to be MANY outdoor activities on the property.
The view was amazing, and the hosts were very thoughtful and provided special touches to make us feel welcome. The property was clean and comfortable and we were able to really relax there. We liked the area as well and found many things to do.
Cleanliness, the hotel is old but everything was spotless. Bathroom very clean and the room was tidied every day including fresh towels everyday. Location ok for thé évent we were participating. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker brand new.
Best value in the area. Great room, thoughtfully decorated. Nice to have a kitchenette. Very close to RVW Restaurant and Brewery. Short drive to town of Catskill and Olana.
