It's obvious the owners Wendy and Doc put a lot of love into their lodge. The grounds are manicured leading up to the bank of the Guadalupe river. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

The setup of the house was perfect with a bathroom inbetween the 2 bedrooms. The living area was so cute with the bird mural on the walls. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very concerned about us having what we needed. The view of the lake was great.

Canyon Lake is a great little place to stay. Loved the area which we hadn’t visited before. Didn’t get to go to the live music at Brookshire Brothers but hopefully can in the future. We came at the right time of the year to see the flowers and of course the lake is beautiful to see. There is so much to do within an hour or less drive from Canyon Lake so, you can be away from some of the fast pace but close enough to go to those areas and visit the wineries or shop in some unique places.

place needs TLC and attention to detail . we manage VAC rentals in New Orleans. A book with details of the area, recommendation's, restaurants attractions, local map etc. Owner is sweet! Seems new to the business. Needs some help and encouragement. Lawn man cut the grass while we were trying to sleep and ran the weed whacker next to my car and stuck grass all over the sides! do it in the middle of the day or at least ask guests to move their car

we stayed for one night, my wife got stung in the face by a scorpion, then we find bed bugs in our bed. was supposed to be a relaxing two day getaway with my wife. Was not the case at. we have reached out to the help desk multiple times and no response. we even told the staff on premises and she laughed..
such a shame. nice place, nice location. poorly maintained.

Would only recommend for someone wanting to stay longer than 2 days so they could have the bathroom water issue fixed. Not for someone unless they want to drive to an from (with wet bathing suit) the pool

My family and I had a great weekend here! I hope to come back soon, I enjoyed the lakeview and the time away from city life. Great place to make memories with the ones you hold and love dear. There's alot of places to go for dining out and the Brookshire Brothers grocery store there was fantastic!

What a beautiful area to spend time with your family and friends. My son brought his boat, and they all went either fishing or pulling everyone around in a water boat and having the best time throwing them out and around the water they all had so much fun. Then going to all the different areas, you can go and float the rives. We went to the bottomless boat to see the fish and turtles we loved that it was so relaxing.
And then my crew followed up with playing water volleyball in the pool. They have music at night and fun around the pool.
It was our first time and not our last. Just remember to ask for the elevator area if you cannot do stairs that was a little hard for me, but I did make it. They have the most amazing Italian restaurant a must go too. We got around with ease.
The view was beautiful. Right in the back yard there was a trail that the deer woukd take every morning mid day and evening. My daughter got to feed the deer from her hand ON THE FRONT PORCH. We were literally 3 minutes away from Comal Park and about 15 minutes away from Canyon Lake Swim Beach 1& 2. Grocery store, convenience store and gas station were right down the hill. This place was definitely an amazing place to be. We plan on making this trip every year.
We made this reservation while we were on the way to Canyon Lake. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. The entrance to the rooms are from the outside, but we felt very safe. The room was clean, cleaner than most of the 4-star hotels I’ve stayed in. Even the windows are spotless. The staff checked up on us to make sure all our needs are met. The views from the back are amazing! Will stay here again.
Our mini getaway from the hustle and bustle of day to day work was so lovely and refreshing. We were able to hang out and disconnect from the world a little bit at the lake house. We visited Canyon Lake twice over the weekend. We loved that our dogs were able to roam free on the property. We would recommend the home rental to anyone wanting to get away with peace and quiet with nature.
The room was beautiful and very comfortable. When I walked in, I was beyond pleased. It was more beautiful than the picture I had seen online. Very comfortable bed and the room was so clean. Mark the owner was very welcoming and informative to the area. I cant say enough good things about this place. Would defiantly recommend this to anyone wanting to come to Canyon Lake.
Close to the boat ramp, plenty of space to park your boat at the house. Fun gameroom area for the kids. We put together a huge puzzle, played on the basketball court, and used the concrete slabs to set up cornhole. Plenty of room to spend time with family in the kitchen and living areas of the main house.
This was a very cozy cottage in a quiet neighborhood with large yards. It had a comfortable covered porch with seating and a barbecue. The yard was fenced and dog friendly. The property was close to the lake and river and restaurants, yet tucked away.
