We loved the view and location was perfect. Staff was welcoming and helpful. The maids worked there butts off cleaning all the rooms. They did a suburb job!! Rooms were big and spacious and bed was very comfortable. My husband love the water pressure in shower. We will come back. Thanks again!!

Nice property and very nice lodge. Very clean and beautiful flowers outside. Near by downtown. The room was very nice because of clean and fire. Good beds and very nice shower. In the evening there was live music in the bar. It was nice sitting insite with the music and singing, but also nice staying in the garden sitting quit in nice corners with a fire pit.

We visit there at least once a year around our anniversary or birthday's. It's a beautiful town and we love the people that live there. We always eat at Sow's Ear and also go wine tasting at near by Paseo Robles. This town never disappoints.

Cumbria is old, sort of worn out, However everything is overpriced. Few hotels offer any type of breakfast other then room coffee machine.
Nice for a day tip. Not worth staying over for high prices of rooms and restraints.

Cambria is a cute town.
Cambria is a cute town. We thought it was just a drive thru street. But the town is larger than what you see. We walked the town and shopped. Several wine tasting shops and antique stores. We were in town for the Cambria Christmas Market, what an adventure. I am so glad we went and recommend to anybody who is in the area at Christmas time. Affordable. Shuttle pickup makes this adventure an easy leisurely stroll. We also went to the 2 cemeteries in town. The town cemetery is old and pleasingly decorated by the families.

Quaint coastal town.
Quaint coastal town. Pleasant views from the boardwalk and clothing short drives to other destinations whether on coastal 1 or headed inland to wineries or pumpkin or lavender farms. 2 to 3 days is plenty of time to take in the surrounding sites and enjoy the rest and relaxation as we deploy from the hustle and bustle of SoCals rat race
Right across the road from beautiful Moonstone Beach. One minute walk and I was enjoying one of the most beautiful places on earth, California Central Coast. 4 minute walk to Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill. This is one of the oldest motels on the beach, but it has been nicely remodeled on the inside. The room was good sized, the bathroom had great counter space. The fireplace, electric, was easy to use and very comforting. Rates are high all along Moonstone Beach, but this was a good value. Jack, the receptionist was very nice and helpful.
The location was wonderful. Our deluxe queen room (2 beds) had a "partial view of the ocean" and it was special to see a peek of the sea from our room. We were able to walk across the street directly to the boardwalk and the stairs to the moonstone beach which is a gem of a beach if you are a beachcomber for pebbles! The price of this room was the best of the hotels along the water and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Will stay again when in the area (and bring food for breakfast!).
The room was very nice and clean. The view of the ocean was exceptional. We have a hybrid plug-in car they have chargers available to use at no charge. We liked the outside fire pits. We sat outside and watched the sun go down. It was a great price and my husband enjoyed his birthday present. We will definitely go back and recommend the Sea Otter to everyone who asks about a hotel in Cambria.
We found this place quiet and restful, close to the boardwalk. It provided everything we needed except for a microwave. Parking was right outside our unit.
We saw a wounded deer on Hwy 1 near the hotel and the receptionist assisted us in finding an agency to report this. We're not sure whether or not they were able to locate and treat the injured animal.
Very comfortable place to stay overnight on our drive from LA to San Francisco. Good off road parking facilities that were easy to access from the room and meant that we could see our car from our room. Nice boardwalk built directly opposite the hotel. We appreciated the helpful staff that provided us with good advice on breakfast choices.
It was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful furniture. Absolutely beautiful unique stay. Wonderful rocking chairs on the deck. Fantastic breakfast. Just unique and our very best stay in California..We wil remember the Squibb House for years to come. Great socialable breakfast in superb dining room
Lovely quirky hotel on Cambria’s only Main Street. Very attentive staff. It felt like we were very welcome and at home. Garden at the rear is beautiful and the cheese and wine evenings were a lovely added bonus. Breakfast was delightful and for us, very different. All in all a very good stay.
They serve a sweet breakfast in a basket every morning and have a welcome wine-tasting. It’s right across from Moonstone Beach and the newly improved and expanded boardwalk. So pretty there. Dog friendly and clean and VERY welcoming
Recently renovated so was very clean. Layout was that of a typical motel you see in the movies. Great location across the street from the boardwalk along moonstone beach. A small pool (Max 9 guests from memory) but clean.
Breakfast was great for continental. Situation of hotel was absolutely beautiful. Fantastic restaurant next door. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Cambria town was lovely great independent shopd
LOCATION, LOCATION ... . The beach and cliff walk were just a few steps from the hotel.
ALSO, very nice staff and small but cozy public areas that were highly enjoyable and easy to be in.
The hotel is right across the street from the beach. The bed was very comfortable and had nice linens. The room had a separate living room from the sleeping area with a fireplace.
Location, just a walk from the beach and ocean views. Always clean, friendly staff, this is always my husbands and my hotel to stay in while vacationing in cambria.
Everything was absolutely great. The Staff were all wonderful. Will be recommending Cambria Pines Lodge, to my family and friends. A lovely place to stay.
