There is basically nothing to do here on the weekend without getting into your car and driving somewhere. We had wished the nice little shops would be open but some weren't open and others closed by 5 pm.

We had to spend most of the time in Bristol, PA.

We had to spend most of the time in Bristol, PA. Burlington is across the river, and it takes 15 -20 minutes by car to go from one to the other side. I recommended calling an Uber or Lift with time because our average waiting time was around 15 minutes either in Bristol or Burlington.

It is a historic town on its way up. Location is excellent on the river front and easy to get to from the highway. Let's just say it is a town under renovation. Loads of history here and could be a wonderful place to visit equal to Gettysburg. They are working on it and I hope they succeed.

This is a small, recently poor, but very historic town, right near "Bristol" and the Bristol bridge. Fantastic for a sense of history. There was also a fantastic crab house nearby though it is not serving local crabs but Alaskan crab which I assume is due to the climate crisis / overfishing so I felt guilty eating there I should really be more vegan than I am, but still it was an amazing piece of Americana.

The area around The Lily Inn is lovely.

The area around The Lily Inn is lovely. It is just a block from a beautiful park situated on the Delaware River. The Riverview restaurant is just across the street from the Inn and the food and service are very good. Overall, Burlington is struggling to reestablish its historic identity and we have seen some positive changes over the years. The water side area is worth seeing and the small houses around that part of town.
