The room was great for our one night stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They had a small continental breakfast (waffles, cereal, yogurt, juice, toast). We weren't in the room long, so it served its purpose.

Exceptional service by front desk staff who pulled me out of the long long line (there were lots of young people checking in due to formals and other activities) as she saw I was a senior citizen who was having difficulty standing in line.

Austin is a city like no other in Texas. A haven for the cool and creative, musicians and music fans flock by the hundreds to this ‘Live Music Capital of the World’ for yearly festivals like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest.
Historic downtown Austin is the seat of Texas government, and the seat of fun and entertainment for locals and visitors. Congress Avenue is the main artery through the city centre, leading you to the impressive Texas State Capitol building at the end. Just off Congress is 6th Street, the popular entertainment district with its quirky bars and fine restaurants.
Away from the hustle and bustle is tranquil Zilker Park, a 350 acre oasis in the heart of the city. Here you can wander through the Zilker Botanical Gardens, or take a dip in the inviting Barton Springs Pool, a natural spring where locals swim year round. A walk around Town Lake at sunset is a must.
Austin is also home to the University of Texas, where about 50,000 students are enrolled each year which ensures a fun and youthful atmosphere throughout the city.
It is possible to get around Austin by bicycle and bus, and Austin International Airport is only 13 kilometres from the city centre. From motels to resorts, Booking.com offers accommodation as unique as the city itself.
The airport is not a pleasant one. I hope I never have to return to Austin. The place is not comfortable. They don't have sleep pods or Minute Suites. The baggage claim disorganization is almost as bad as Miami and they aren't as big or busy as an excuse.

Modern, friendly city.
Modern, friendly city. Generally clean with lovely green spaces. Not a lot of historical interest so better for short visits.
Some areas a bit seedy & too much emphasis on it being a great place for music - most of what we heard was poor ! We found food & drinks surprisingly expensive.

Austin is a great town.
Austin is a great town. There are tons of great restaurants, shops, parks, outdoor activities, bars and dance clubs. Everything was within walking distance or a short uber/Lyft drive away. I would highly recommend visiting Austin. But, probably not in the summer :|

Austin was an unexpectedly beautiful and pleasant city.
Austin was an unexpectedly beautiful and pleasant city. Walkable parks and downtown. The Capitol is beautiful and UT campus is really nice.Lots to see and visit. Many great restaurants and, of course, music venues. The neighborhoods are beautiful, especially around SoCo (but I wouldn't be able to buy a house there).

This city is much larger than I expected and is growing rapidly. There are wonderful things to see and do and the people are wonderful. We took an hour long river boat ride where the skyline and 'lake' was explained. We went to live music at the smaller stage at the ACL. We took a 3 hour long tour of haunted sites. We were there for the eclipse but we drove out of the city to the Hill Country outside of Austin which was delightful. Unfortunately the transportation infrastructure in Austin is just not able to accommodate all that growth so traffic is quite a problem and there is almost no public transportation.

It was fun to watch the bats come out at night.
It was fun to watch the bats come out at night. The BBQ place we picked had a line but still had food after 8pm. There is some history here which we enjoyed viewing on our car tour. Downtown is quieter during the day than the night.
the location is amazing. i was in austin for SXSW and easrt cesar chavez is the perfect spot to be if you want a) to be close enough to all the action but b) far enough that when you get out of downtown you still have peace and quiet.
the bars, the restaurants & all in all vibe in east cesar chavez was perfect. the 6 minute scooter ride to the convention center was perfect.
and the house: wow. love the deco. has everything one would need. well kept ammenities. and very nice neighbors.
We stayed for a concert we were attending at the Moody Theater. I felt like this hotel was in a great location because we were able to travel to downtown Austin easily (Just jump on to I35) and the drive didn't take long at all. At the same time, it was far enough out that you didn't feel like you were in the traffic and bustle of downtown. Our next trip to Austin, this is where we will be staying!
Great location for walking around downtown Austin and bat viewing at Congress bridge and far enough away from 6th street so there wasn't too much noise outside. The hotel honored my request to be placed on a high floor (got 11) but not a river view or away from elevators (river view cost $12 extra per night). Pool was nice with a view of the skyline and a small hot tub area.
It's in a good location just over a bridge and walking distance to downtown Austin. It's on a direct Metrocap bus route 20 to/from airport only 1 dollar 25. The room was a great size with a kitchen area, living area, bed area and a good sized bathroom. Cupboard and lots of storage space. Room had a balcony. It was a bit too cold when I was there to sit out.
We have stayed in citizenM hotels in NYC and Amsterdam. This is a Dutch hotel so the rooms are small (very European!) The Austin hotel is brand new and exceeded our expectations. This is a very modern hotel with its use of technology to check in and out. I wish the rates would stay moderate, but I know that is difficult in the heart of downtown Austin.
We loved the location, the staff, the room and the vibe of the hotel. It was walking distance to downtown but being on south congress, had such a far away feel. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. We are moving around a lot in Texas and this is by far our favourite hotel and we’ll be back the next time we’re in Austin!
Nice breakfast with good selection and rotating items, including Texas shaped waffles. Pool just about warm enough. Basketball court. BBQs worked and hotel provided tongs. Nice Austin music themed lobby. Evening social three nights a week with beer and wine included. Most of the staff are friendly.
Undoubtedly the finest accommodation in Austin, Texas. The design is exquisite, with stunning rooms, and the security staff is both kind and approachable. Additionally, there's a charming Starbucks conveniently located within the hotel. The perfect location adds to the overall appeal.
You can't beat the quality and the price of this Boutique hotel. The cabins were delightful and having the bathroom just down the hall was no problem at all. Everything was super clean and comfortable. On-site happy hour plus, and easy walking to the downtown.
This was an affordable room for our stay for the eclipse. We liked being on the top floor and being in close proximity to downtown Austin. It was easy to get on the highway from the hotel and was only a few minutes away from most things we wanted to do.
Location was closest to Downtown Shuttle for F1 US Grand Prix and cheapest hotel in area for that weekend. Free breakfast also a plus. Close walking distance to other spots in downtown Austin. Most of the staff was helpful, even if indifferent.
Very friendly, absolutely clean hotel. Had a room complete with kitchen. Good breakfast, convenient location. 5 min walk to bars , nightlife and restaurants and 10 mins walk downtown. Would certainly stay there again when in Austin .
I liked the proximity to downtown and that the hotel offered amenities like the pool and live music! The bars were also great, and the food was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating also!
Friendly staff with large rooms. The beds were also very comfortable. They did a good job at renovating the hotel to update it as well. Also a fantastic location in Austin. Close to shopping and downtown.
Great location, in the center of downtown.
Friendly staff all around. The hotel has a nice historic feel, but the rooms are still modern and well equiped.
All in all, can recommend!
