The hotel is very compact but it has everything: the garden with trees and shrubs, the swimming pool, the sauna and hammam which are ready every day. We visited a tea estate which was so beautiful and neatly maintained.
The town was clean and all the city roads are paved.
They should improve the first portion of Bundi Bujoi road which is unkempt.
We visited Amabere caves and the waterfall.

Kibale Nat Park, Semliki Nat Park, Rwenzori Nat Park are all within commutable distance.
If you have time you can even do a day trip to Queen Elzabeth Park but you will need avery early start.
Fort Portal centre of town is being re-tarmacked so quite dusty but it will be nice when the works are finished.
Gardens Restaurant has fantastic a la carte and large portions. Dont miss the smoked beef in groundnut sauce....

We stop in Fort Portal because the trip from Kampala with local bus was too long and uncomfortable and our final destination was still 3 hours away.
But then we used Fort Portal as a main station for the rest of our trip.
There are many places in the surrounding area that you can visit but you definitely need a car.
The city itself is quite chaotic but deserve to be visited to discover some locals shops.
