Big room, nice welcome from the employees, air-conditioning works well, hot water in shower comfy beds, bar and restaurant in the compound, also swimming pool. Location was not far from the beach, walking distance. The owner was also nice and friendly and helpful.

Wow where do I start?.
Mambo Ocean had a natural, bohemian vibe. The traditional thatched seafront bungalow, close enough to hear the crashing of the Indian Ocean. It over exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was varied tasty and plentiful. I particularly looked forward to the freshly squeezed local fruit smoothies. All the food that we ordered was delicious, we recommend the seafood platter. The resort facilities had rustic charm, with a plunge pool at the front and a larger pool in the rear, big enough to exercise in.
The hotel management, David and Anna, were very hospitable, and all of the staff, can't name them all, Sargent, Ben, Francis and Nelson, couldn't do enough for us.
It was a special destination for us, as we got engaged 💍 and they made sure the candel lit dinner on the beach was perfect.
Zanzibar and especially this resort will always hold a special place in our hearts 💕. We'll be back for the anniversary ❤️!!!

The pool, the beach, the breakfast and dinner were all excellent. Rooms were good and great value for money. Probably an international 4* as opposed to 5* level but based on the price it was perfect.

We recently stayed at this hotel, the experience was absolutely remarkable. The view of the ocean from our room was simply breathtaking. The food variety here surpassed my expectations compared to other hotels in Zanzibar, we took breakfast and dinner included, during the day we were eating at excursions or in the restaurat of the hotel which was nice. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help.
My boyfriend proposed to me here, and it was amazing! The manager and half of the staff helped make it super special. The team's support and effort made the moment magical. The setting was beautiful, and everyone was so excited and helpful. Big thanks to the manager for making our engagement day so memorable. If you want a place with a staff that goes the extra mile, this hotel is perfect. We'll always remember our special moment here! Highly recommend it to others!

The place was like walking into paradise. It had the WOW FACTOR. Only downside was the walking up a big flight of stairs which you have to do at least 3 times a day. You saw wildlife at night. There was bush babies that would come to our balcony. Awesome.

Its Amazing ,a warm welcome from Wojtek. beautiful place , very green, peaceful, quiet. Super relaxing. Friendly staff, clean. The only thing need improvement is wifi and the bed. The bed is a bit hard , i expect more soft and fluffy. But overall is amazing, i will definitely come back.

Its Amazing.. i enjoyed my time there. Very warm welcome from the reception Pascal and the manager David who making sure everything is fine. Wifi is very fast and its everywhere. Food and Staff are the best. Clean and quiet. Only the beach area, everytime i try to spend time on the umbrella bed there was always beach boys come to me which make my self cant enjoy my time. Also the bed its a bit too hard for me. Was expecting more soft and fluffy with thick blanket. My driver Aliy is the best driver. Overall its amazing, i will definitely come back.

Not much to do around the resort as it is far away from most main attractions however the resort is quite and very large with plenty of sports facilities such as a tennis court, game rooms, pools etc. they also offer night entertainment that I felt could be improved. a number of restaurant to choose from and special pool and beach dinner nights were exceptional and very fun.

Perfect sunshine (if you are travelling from North Europe or Canada). Tourists are usually pestered in the beach areas (to be sold something). There is significant seaweed farming, so it is unfornatley a pleasant beach and ocean made deeply unpleasant by humans.

the place was very well maintained, the beach was clean, the staff were very nice, friendly and approachable. The mattress was comfortable. The spa was absolutely phenomenal! That was our biggest highlight. me and my husband got a massage and it was the best massage we both ever had (we’ve traveled the world and had massages in many many countries but this was the best one yet) it was so good that we got another one the following night and it was just as good. Cherish your masseuse because they are extremely talented.

The hotel ambience is fantastic as well as the staff that is always smiling and very helpful the food is very tasty, there are fish, meat, pasta sweets, tropical fruit, fresh fruit juices… wow!
The beach is paradisiac, it seems a dream and it’ very relaxing.
What we appreciated more than everything was our bungalow with sea view… a stunning view! The room was very clean and there’s everything you need.

Mchanga is an excellent option and would recommend it to everyone looking to spend their holidays not in a crowded big hotel. We really enjoyed the quietness of the place and the beautiful beach. The pool as well was much loved by our kids :) The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Every afternoon they prepared us some afternoon snacks for free. The food is excellent! We spent there 5 nights and felt like at home. Would definitely come back!

The hotel is superb, with maximum cleanliness, and the location is also dreamy. I don't want to be nitpicky, but something should be done about the food, at least for lunch and dinner. On the beach area, Winfrida has always hosted us with her kindness, and we thank her for that. Of course, all the staff is impeccably polite and highly professional. Jambo jambo!
Mambo Ocean Resort is perfection, very tasty food and good vibes of the staff. I loved the atmosphere at night cause there are many shows (singers, acrobatic show).

Most of the staff were great, very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and got everything we needed. Nice quiet place with a good beach. The Buffets were delicious with just enough options and served different foods everyday for the most part.
All the stay was amazing, if we go back to Zanzibar we will stay here for sure, no doubt. The staff is super nice, very friendly all time, Justin from the bar is the best!! Also, the views, the beach, the room and all the facilities provided are perfect.
The property architecture is beautiful. They have guards to block the multitude of beach peddlers from approaching the sunbathing guests on the property. The drinks in the all inclusive are strong. The cleaning staff is spot on. The rooms are very nice.

The personal was friendly and nice to talk to. Especielly Aisha who was the manager in the hotel. It is next to the beach but you can not swim so much because of the tide. The landscabe on the beach changes during the day.
