I was in Hsinchu due to some works so i did not plan to go to tourist spots much. Most of the time I was in the Science Parks, University and walk nearby my hotel. I stayed in the what local call the old street so there were mini night market and street foods, temples, one shopping mall. The Hscinchu train station (local train) and bus station were walking distance from the hotel. Mainly I used trains to travel to other cities from Hsinchu. The part of Hsinchu I stayed is a quiet laid back town.

The Hsinchu zoo is a nice place to spend the morning. It's small and compact but still worth a visit just to see the Bengal Tigers up close!
The God's temple in the middle of the city is an amazing experience although it is quite confusing to get to.

This township is full of nice Taiwanese street food and was good weather in December. You can engaged a local tour to bring you around which cost around NTD 8500 per day. With a group of 6 people, a small van is most convenient. Staying in the city or outskirt are different exposure. The seaview is magnificient!
The kids enjoyed Doraemon Science Park while the adults like to shop at the streets with nice and reasonable price clothing.
We had good food at Cheng Huang Miao.

It's not as busy as Taipei, but there is still so much to do. It's nice to walk around the city, looking at shops but also following the stream and underground path. It has a good atmosphere and very friendly people. Eighteen Peaks Mountain park is a wonderful place to visit which you could easily spend hours in. We stayed for 2 nights, but would have liked to spend 3-4 nights.
We always use this hotel. Great location, great staff, great air conditioning, just the property is a little tired is all. If they refreshed the property then they could probably triple the price point, but then I wouldn't be staying there anymore if they did that. If you want an expensive hotel then why stay in Hsinchu at all? Taipei has many more expensive hotels.
The Lakeshore Metropolis is still one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Due to so many people during Chinese New Year, they gave those going to breakfast a choice for breakfast time to try and cut down on the crowd. Rooms are super convenient, and the staff did a good job with my request for no housekeeping.
The room was clean and very comfortable the breakfast is delicious but the first day we stay in the hotel you don't have amenities in the room like tooth paste tooth brush soap and other but it's ok for us I recommend you next time if you have a Philippines🇵🇭 guest please provide that things...Thank you😊
The location was a little hard to find via Google Maps, however, the direction suggestions given by the hotel were greatly helpful in having Google Maps be more effective in providing proper directions.
The breakfast was also great! A good mix of eastern and western breakfast 'buffet' options.
Staying at his hotel is a good value for money compared to other hotels in the area. The manager/owner was very helpful in welcoming us and explaining the instructions and facilities. Staff, in general, were very helpful. They helped us to book taxi when needed.
Breakfast was good for variety, not fancy, but delicious local fare and solid. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hot water shower is powerful, not merely a trickle. Housekeeping is discreet and respects your privacy, leaves you alone if requested.
Convenient location and a short walk to the night market. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. Appreciate the free parking . There is a wonderful dim sum restaurant opposite the hotel.
The location of the property is reasonable distance to Taoyuan and it is not within the main Taipei city. It is location near the Famous Jade Emperor Temple.
The location is very nice, around 10 mins walk to train station.
Hotel staff are nice, room is bigger than I expected.
The room is very clean and comfy.
