Lovely cave hotel with a view over more caves which at night felt very atmospheric. Rooms large and a bit quirky (which fits the theme). The staff were friendly and extremely helpful with planning; most comfortable bed in our whole Turkey trip. The pool area is lovely, you can order room service for free which means you can use your own little terrace or room well.

The town is quiet yet there is a variety of restaurants and cafes for all budgets. We were not disappointed by any of our restaurant choices and the service was good. There is an authentic Art Cafe where they serve the most delicious Gozleme.
The views are stunning and it is possible get close up to the caves and rock formations.

Urgup was what I expected.
Urgup was what I expected. I was deciding between Gerome and Urgup, and from the reviews chose Urgup because it was less crowded and more quiet.
There were less or no fairy chimneys around though, and it looked farthest from Nevsehir airport. Apart from these, Urgup gives you the traditional Cappadocia village life.

As elsewhere in Cappadocia, the centre of Ürgüp is full of lovely old stone houses clustered around a central rock formation, in this case Temenni Tepesi (Temenni Hill, Wish Hill).
It makes a good base for visiting all the main attractions of Cappadocia, including the rock-cut churches and the underground cities.
There is a small local museum inside the park in the centre of Ürgüp.

A friendly town with plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops.
A friendly town with plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. It felt safe to walk around at night, the shops remaining open until 10pm which is helpful if on excursions all day. We found a very helpful taxi driver who took us to various places for a fair price. It has a Hamman which I would loved to have tried if there was more time

It's a quieter town and by that i mean it's very different from Goreme. If you want quiet - come here. We did have a car which was absolutely a must and when we wanted to go to Goreme, we took cabs. They do alter the prices here and there on the cabs, but standard price was 170 TL each way.

Urgup was a nice smaller town that was cheaper than Goreme.
Urgup was a nice smaller town that was cheaper than Goreme. We still had access to activities and most companies still picked us up at our hotel for the activities. The food was less expensive than Goreme. We walked the alleys and side streets and enjoyed seeing the architecture.
Oda cave house is a very cozy, authentic cave hotel with one of the most fantastic hosts we’ve ever come across in our travels.
This 5 room property shines with Mr Sami at its helm. He is a gem of a person and his hospitality won us over completely!
The hotel is very conveniently located in urgup and has an exceptional breakfast spread.
We stayed here for 3 days and had a wonderful time.
All I can say is Wow!! the pictures don’t do the hotel justice. This amazing place is so clean, with absolutely everything you need. The staff are amazing and so helpful as well as so accomodating.
my first time in Cappadocia and I think I will be back just to stay at this hotel!
I have never stayed in such a nice hotel with the amazing customer service we have received.
Exceptional hotel, wonderful mix of traditional and modern design. Very luxurious and pleasant place to stay. The restaurant Zeferan is also wonderful. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Not one of the typical "cave house" hotels you find in Cappadocia, but, having stayed in a "cave room", we found it a bit oppressive.
Great hotel with outstanding views on Ürgüp and surroundings from the nice terrace. This hotel has a lot of character! The cave rooms have a fantastic atmosphere and are super comfortable with great bathrooms. It is a very quiet place where you can relax after a busy day and still feel the amazing Cappadocia ambiance.
