I'm really pleased I decided to go north and see Trabzon. Easy flight from/to Istanbul and the airport is only a few minutes away.
NB: if you're flying around Turkey your luggage allowance is likely to be quite a bit less than for your international flight into Turkey - depending on your ticket type.
The town itself is quite busy - in a good way - not overwhelming. Lovely central park square. Plenty of eateries, shops and market stalls.
I was only there 2 nights so booked an organised day trip to the Sumela monastery - be prepared for a bit of a walk, caves, the glass balcony, etc. It's worth doing a bit of comparison checking on who you go with: some tours are all in, some do not include entrance fees.
It's really beautiful and lush and totally different from Cappadocia and the south. Tried traditional rice pudding and the sweets made from boiled fruit.

Traffic in the city can get a bit overwhelming for tourists who rent a car, but people are very friendly and patient.
English is not spoken in most shops or restaurants, but people try help the best they can.

I have been over there , but high percentage of people Extremely bad attitude & the take advantage of people the visitors Tourists, happed to me several time the price tag say something and they say this is wrong tag then I didn’t buy it then they come back sir sir come come & I feel most of people you deal cheap big time restaurants hotels super market they don’t offer any thing , you buy from supermarket sometimes you need bag sack they charge you extra even they don’t tell you .

At this time Trabzon is way too hot and could not enjoy walking around. The best thing is that we rented a car and enjoying roaming around. It gave us several options. The sea seemed very tempting but due to weather condition we could not enjoy it.
I am not sure if it is me or this is becoming a trend. Food is too little. Wherever we go the amount of food if Turkish dishes was not ever enough for us. We kept ordering extra to have full.
Very very friendly staff, very quick to answer and bring you whatever you need, location is excellent as you can use it as a start point to make trips to Trabzon, Rize or Uzungol.
Room was very clean, drinking water is available and it gets replenished free of charge, you can ask the staff for iron and they will bring it to your room.
You can also ask the staff to call a taxi for you anytime.
The hotel has a lift, it also has amazing views on the sea.
Breakfast buffet had a lot of options and it was delicious.
Definitely recommended.

The hotels location was great. It’s a roughly 20 mins drive to and from the airport, 10 minute drive from the city centre, and close to a number of activities you can do, like taking a walk to Sera Lake, or a walk in the opposite direction to explore the villages and maybe buy some groceries and needs.

Definitely recommend the hotel. I arrived past midnight after a long flight. The hotel is just a couple of minutes away from the airport. Yasir from the check-in counter had everything ready for us and the check was done super efficiently. A huge plus at that hour especially when traveling with kids. The breakfast was delicious and having it in the outdoor area during Trabzon’s autumn weather is an amazing way to start your holiday

I stayed 2 nights in Trabzon. From the time I made my booking hotel translator Selenary was in touch with me to make my transition smooth. She even arranged the sim card upon my request within the hotel on top of that she arranged a tour of Uzungol. Lastly, she helped me in booking my bus ticket to Capadoccia. Apart from her, even the other staff was really corporating.
Really amazing co operation & support from the hotel staff but special thanks from me to Mr. Mohamed , Mr. Mahmoud & Mr. AbdAllah for their professional dealings with us during our stay also they provide us a very good trips for Uzungol lake & Ayder village

This was the best hotel that i have stayed in Trabzon in terms of hospitality, cleanliness, price, and food. I was charged twice by mistake which i wasn’t aware but Mr. Abdullah was so friendly and honest, and the manager refunded my money. First of all, hotel is located in the middle of the city not too far from the airport. Very convenient if you want to just walk to close by attractions. The bed was comfy, and the rooms were half decent. The hotel staffs were incredibly helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it!
