The old parts of Konya are beautiful. The new parts are interesting. This city feels very traditional and profoundly Turkish. Very little globalisation and not much English spoken here. It is very different from Istanbul or Ankara - it is slower and less frantic than its urban counterparts. Religion obviously plays a big part in this culture, but stick to the rules, show respect, and you are welcome everywhere. The mosques and the monuments are beautuful, but so too are the markets and bazaars. Prices are very reasonable, so good food and bargains are not hard to find.

Konya is a huge city, depending of what you are looking for, you have to chose you area wisely. There is plenty of country side and beautiful scenery, but a long drive from where we were if you are planning to find nightlife or entertainment it might be difficult. The area we were in, we visited some restaurants, food is good, but most of them you cannot consume alcohol. so if you plan to go out after a days work and have a drink you can forget it.

I went to Konya to attend Mevlana's death anniversary and enjoyed it a lot. Significant experience with the food, people, architecture, everything. It was a spiritual trip, so I greatly enjoyed the city.
It's easy to get around, and the bus/tram connection is excellent. You can buy a city card, top it up, and move around.
It had terrific world-best falafel and hummus opposite Shah Shames Tabreez's tomb—a must-visit place.
Great and affordable grill and other food options near Azizyea 🕌 mosque inside old streets of Konya.
I visited Sille, a beautiful historic village only 30 minutes by bus from Konya city center.

Konya gives you a high sense of spiritually most likely because of its connection with Mevlana Rumi and Shams Tabriz. It is not as crowded as Istanbul so it's more enjoyable. The mosque ans the tomb of the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykabut, located on a strategic hillock, has a beautiful garden and a very good to relax. Out of all the goid restaurants, Sufi Restaurant offers the best cuisine. We enjoyed Konya''s signature dish, the Firin Kebap and the dessert Hosmerism. They are a must to eat.

I had never been to Konya, so we hired a guide for a 7-hour walking tour. Konya is an ancient city (Roman name was Iconium) as well as a pilgrimage site for many sufis, since both Rumi and his mentor Shems-i Tabrizi have tombs in the city. The Mevlevi dervish sema at the Mevlana Cultural Center is a big draw for people from all over the world. Even though the ceremony is choreographed, in a large arena more suitable for a basketball game, the performance was genuinely felt, and emotionally moving.
During our visit to Turkey we stayed in four hotels in 3 cities, our stay at Pasapark Karatay Hotel Konya was our best experience. The hotel rooms were spacious, clean and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was good too. We forgot a coat in the closet during our stay, which was sent to the hotel in Istanbul at our request. It was an admirable attitude for which we are grateful.
Highly recommended.!
Perfect location in city centre with parking place - close to Konya main sights. Mevlana museum - 3 min.walk. Hotel is in old house, rooms are basic and clean. Good value for money. The place is a little narrow but cozy. Staf is very friendly and helpful - they give for you all information that you need. You coud walked by foot in all places where you want. The breakfest was excellent. Thank you!
Decent place in a very good location in Konya. Wifi worked well, breakfast was expansive and pretty decent overall. Parking easy enough, drive to entrace and you will be welcomed at the door and theyll bring your bags in and park your car safely nearby for you. Smoking allowed downstairs so the lobby has a bit of a smell but this is not unusual for Turkey. Overal decent stay and good value
Perfect location to visite Konya, staff so helpful, she helped us Booking our bus ticket and gave us a plan to visit Konya.
Thé hôtel is si nicely decorated and they offered us twice a delicious coffee to occupy check-in waiting Time and taxi to leave.
Also a very kind take-away breakfast was offered to us as we left to early to enjoy the one at the restaurant.
We spent 2 nights at Araf Hotel in Konya in October, 2023. The hotel was in a very good location for us, as we could easily walk to sites, restaurants, and shops. The staff were pleasant and kind. The toilet/sink room was small but manageable, and the shower room was (oddly) large. Clean room, good hot water pressure, good mattress and bedding.
We stayed in wonderful corner rooms at Bera Hotel Konya! They were among the most spacious rooms that we have ever stayed in, and amenities were thoughtfully provided at every turn. The fresh buffet breakfast in the morning is an extra treat. We'd recommend this hotel without reservation and were sad to leave it so soon!
The location is perfect, right in the middle of town. Takes a few minutes walk to Mevlana Rumi Museum and Mausoleum and near to eateries. They were welcoming and the receptionist helped with parking right in front of the hotel. Bathroom was super clean and nice, comfortable bed and everything
The location was perfect, decor was amazing, and the rooms were comfortable. There were lots of little surprises in the rooms in terms of decor in the entire hotel. This little hotel is truly a gem in the center of Konya.
We went to Konya for the soul purpose of going to Mevlana as we are great fans of Rumi.
The hotel was comfortable, very close to the center and mevalna panorama museum. 10 minute walk to the center.
Very clean & modern rooms. A/C was very good. Staff were helpful. We asked for more pillows, blankets, taxies, even an iron, they helped us. This is my second time i stay in this hotel.
Ali and Osman were very helpful, room was perfect, heating, cleanliness od the room, design and bed, everything excellent! Definitely would come again to Hotel Ney if I’m back to Konya!
great location, Muammer was very attentive to our needs, he even recommended a restaurant for dinner which was by far the best dinner in Turkey yet! so happy to found this place.
Spacious lobby, decent rooms, excellent breakfast in a spacious dining room
We bought several souvenirs at the hotel lobby at prices less than at souvenir shops
The breakfast was excellent with lots of selection, modern big hotel with a good cafe bar. Kindly staff specially Mr. Kemal. Appropriate room facility and size.
The hotel is very near to Metro station and all other attractions in Konya. The hotel is very clean, good lightings, hot water shower, and all other amenities
