Konya is a huge city, depending of what you are looking for, you have to chose you area wisely. There is plenty of country side and beautiful scenery, but a long drive from where we were if you are planning to find nightlife or entertainment it might be difficult. The area we were in, we visited some restaurants, food is good, but most of them you cannot consume alcohol. so if you plan to go out after a days work and have a drink you can forget it.

I went to Konya to attend Mevlana's death anniversary and enjoyed it a lot. Significant experience with the food, people, architecture, everything. It was a spiritual trip, so I greatly enjoyed the city.
It's easy to get around, and the bus/tram connection is excellent. You can buy a city card, top it up, and move around.
It had terrific world-best falafel and hummus opposite Shah Shames Tabreez's tomb—a must-visit place.
Great and affordable grill and other food options near Azizyea 🕌 mosque inside old streets of Konya.
I visited Sille, a beautiful historic village only 30 minutes by bus from Konya city center.

Konya gives you a high sense of spiritually most likely because of its connection with Mevlana Rumi and Shams Tabriz. It is not as crowded as Istanbul so it's more enjoyable. The mosque ans the tomb of the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykabut, located on a strategic hillock, has a beautiful garden and a very good to relax. Out of all the goid restaurants, Sufi Restaurant offers the best cuisine. We enjoyed Konya''s signature dish, the Firin Kebap and the dessert Hosmerism. They are a must to eat.

I had never been to Konya, so we hired a guide for a 7-hour walking tour. Konya is an ancient city (Roman name was Iconium) as well as a pilgrimage site for many sufis, since both Rumi and his mentor Shems-i Tabrizi have tombs in the city. The Mevlevi dervish sema at the Mevlana Cultural Center is a big draw for people from all over the world. Even though the ceremony is choreographed, in a large arena more suitable for a basketball game, the performance was genuinely felt, and emotionally moving.

Konya city of Lovers
Where do we begin, this hotel is a beautiful, traditional ottoman house located in the heart of konya. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming as soon as we arrived, with parking available on their site. We arrived during Ramadan and the owner kindly booked us a table at a local restaurant he recommended as he was aware places would likely be busy. Overal a great family run hotel with a good breakfast too!
This is an amazing hotel for the price we paid. We were very happy with our choice to stay here. And unlike previous reviews- we didn’t smell any smoke in our room or in the lobby. The wifi was really strong, the food (room service) was good and was a great price. The girl who checked us in was friendly, and so was the girl helping at breakfast and the girl who brought our room service.
1. The great hosts from reception personnel to the cleaning staff who are experienced enough to give me good advice.
2. The arrangements made.
3. The breakfast which feels like home.
4. The facilities around the hotel.
When you want to visit Konya from a tourist perspective but also want to see and experience life in a Turkish city, Babin Butik Otel is the place to be.
The place is close to everything you might need. It is a family hotel and Yilmaz his wife Fatima and his mother Nasle could not be more friendly and helpful. The only thing that you may not like is that the hotel is close to the mosque , but if you are one of those who do not like to listen to the mohacin all the time, you simply do not have to choose Turkey to travel.
The hotel has a very good location right in the city center, near the Mevlana Museum, but is still quiet. The staff is very warm and helpful in explaining where the main attractions in Konya are. The Turkish breakfast was rich with very friendly service. The rooms are clean enough for a short stay. However, small renovation works are needed. It was a pleasant stay.
This is a boutique hotel. So don't get your hopes high.Price is reasonable with the room.Shower is good.Good water pressure. Its location is nearby to Selimiye Mosque and Mevlevi Museum.A good strategic location near to good restaurants and souvenir shops.Recommend to purchase souvenirs before leaving for Istanbul. The price for souvenirs here are reasonable.
Parking at the side of the hotel. Central location with places to eat close by. Slight language barrier checking in but no drama and easily sorted. Good clean room with coffee making facilities. No alcohol served here but easy to find near by. Will stay here again when in Konya. Good breakfast in the morning too
I loved the central position of the hotel along with the nice, clean and comfy rooms, abundant breakfast and the hospitality of the staff. It's a great hotel, excellent for using when going through business trips in Konya or if you pass through turkey and need a good rest.
Great Breakfast, one of the best in Turkey, staff is very friendly. As soon as you enter the hotel you feel welcoming vibes.
location is awesome and everything is on walking distance ( attractions, restaurants, shopping centre etc)
I loved everything. Konya is a magical city, and my stay in Aziziye hotel made my trip exceptional. I would like to thank abi and Anne. Çok teşekkürler. I will miss the beautiful Cami view.
