Very flat, lots of shops,bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Beach is not for sunbathing. Shop around as prices vary on all things. Old town and new town very different so see both and visit the castle. Taxis are reasonable if you need one.

Very lively city by sea with lovely private beaches and boat trips galore on offer.
Abundance of shops selling mostly designer copies but be wary: shops in Gumbet centre are cheaper whereas shops in Bodrum centre are much dearer but so is the quality of products much more improved.
Seafood is widely available here so enjoy it fresh. Restaurant called Korfez was our favourite: delicious grilled meats, salads with efficient service and reasonable prices.

We stayed in Bodrum and Istanbul. We really enjoyed Bodrum and found the shopping better than in Istanbul. More variety of items. Our most favorite excursion was the Gulet day trip. Beautiful blue sea.

Very beautiful and charming city. It looks like a mix of history from Roman empire to old ottoman era. Iconic castle and fortress at the end of the city. Nice and old fashioned local shopping mall. Excellent beach with a lots of water activities.

Our overall impression was that the city was dirty and poorly maintained.
We shopped along the Gumbit beach area and went to a couple of the restaurants. The people on a whole were very friendly.
We did the boat tour to 5 different swimming spots, very clear beautiful water, but our advice is to take some snacks and drinks with you, as it was super expensive on board.
The host family is truly warm and kind. It was a pleasure to be their guests. All our additional needs were fulfilled immediately. The house is nice, clean, and convenient. The view from the terrace beautiful. If you like to be close to the coast, with many bars and restaurants on the beach, and in the peninsula where it is not so hot as inland it is a good place. I personally like most small completely wild area nearby ( a natural park Hacımehlem Koyu Yalıkavak Bodrum)
where there are just sheep and beaches and no houses etc.

The hotel is very nice and the staff are friendly and exceptional 👌 they speak English well. They upgrade us to a suite, which is impressive 👏. Fresh and organic breakfast daily. Their restaurant is one of the most popular in Bodrum and the food there was perfect. Pleasant location not far from the centre out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre 👌.
We had a great stay at Akkan, rooms are clean, beds are comfy, nice little balcony with a view on the castle and the sea. Breakfast is delicious, location is fantastic and the staff are nice and always there for you, Can is super attentive, he was supportive & provide the help when needed. We highly recommend staying at Akkan. We stayed in other boutik hotels in bodrum, they were nice and more of hostels, Akkan is a hotel type of accommodation which is great. Thank you Can & staff
This place is amazing. The rooms are very nice, clean and cozy. There is no parking at the hotel itself but there is a paid car parking nearby so it is no issue. The hotel entrance itself is through a small street and once you cross the gate, it is a marvelous sight. The hotel is nestled in a quiet neighborhood so you can relax and be at ease during your stay. The staff is amazing, they go the extra mile to help you out. All in all, a very good place to stay if you visit Bodum.
The hotel was in a good location short walk towards the main centre of Bodrum, big rooms (junior suite), there was tea and coffee facility which was very handy and staff were very friendly, we arrived so late and the front desk staff was so nice and all smiles to check us in, she even helped us to order food till midnight. Breakfast daily was superb with nice pool view and sea view. upon check out the staff helped me with printing our boarding passes. Really beautiful hotel

Absolutely lovely! It’s located in the heart of Bodrum city centre just next to the seaside. The design and style of the whole hotel is amazing. My friends and I also enjoyed the breakfast - we had to leave before 8 but the owner kindly offered us a big variety of food. I loved everything! And he also helped to arrange private transfer to the airport in early morning. We appreciated his help!
My stay in the Su hotel was a pleasant one ... Rooms are cleaned daily . A great breakfast with alot of choices ..buffet style . A great pool and garden area to sit in. The hotel is in a quiet residential area, but close to the centre of Bodrum .An easy walking to the harbour and Old Town of Bodrum . The hotel and staff made my stay a memorable one .
Townhouse was much better than our expectation. It is right on the beach, located at the heart of Bodrum. Exceptionally clean and well designed rooms are offering spectacular views of the bay. From check in until check out, the staff was super nice and helpful in every part of our stay. In my next visits to Bodrum, I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is a relaxing retreat, ten minutes walk from the centre of Bodrum where you'll find all the action. Dinner at the hotel's El Vino restaurant overlooking the city is a must on at least one night.
