The location of the resort is perfect. Clean wide quiet beach, a restaurant under a tree, pool under coconut trees. The bungalows are nice, clean, ac is good. It could use some renovation, but for this price we didnt find a better place in Thailand!

The beach is really really nice. It was super clean, the surrounding is great. Lots of restaurant nearby. There is an awesome bar up in the hill with a stunning view over the bay.
My room was great and I loved sitting on my balcony and listening to the waves and watch the sea.
The room had everything you need and the bed, in my opinion, was just awesome. Mattress not to hard and not to soft.
There are also plenty of mini markets in the surroundings and they are just opening up a 711. But I do have mixed feelings about the 711 as I prefer local businesses and think they are way more important than those big chains.
All in all, it was an awesome stay and if I come back to Koh Phangan, I will be back there! It was quiet and nice and good for relaxing.

One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The beach has white sand and the water has a smooth entry to get deeper - very good for younger kids. We could recommend the Restaurant on Longtail Beach Resort for Families with children. The restaurant is direct on the beach, very romantic and just some meters away there is a natural playing ground with Swings and climb possibilities. Perfect to have couple time even your own children are around.

I arrived with my son for a few days: the beach is still quiet and secluded and this offers a bit of what Thailand was years ago. The beach was beautiful and waters just right though the wash up from ocean requires human care (humans litter humans clean).
Walking up to the right side of the beach there is a walk way up the mountain - we found 2c up there amazed at the views and found our new best friend up the mountain.
Best coffee just outside pens! Best to eat in the small Thai places and! The Living Room for a break with beautiful Stefan’s and his wife Italian chefs.
All locals gorgeous.

The resort food is good, but the lovely long beach has a range of restaurants enabling you to choose somewhere different each evening - a stroll down the beach away. The village (within easy walking distance from the resort) has many local restaurants that offer cheap, tasty food. Great fruit shakes at every spot.

This was our favourite hotel of the four we stayed at during our recent holiday to Koh Phanang and Koh Samui. Beautiful beachfront location, excellent value for money (this was the cheapest hotel we stayed in). Our room the family seafront bungalow was right on the beach and had privacy glass windows so we could lie in bed an admire the view without anyone looking in. We took hotels private transfer from pier for 600 baht which is the same price as a local taxi so would recommend doing this.
The shower pressure was fine. The only thing there is no separation between shower and toilet. This is quite normal in Thailand and was the case in the most expensive 4 star hotel we stayed in on this trip - just so you are aware.
Far nicer to take the easy trip over here on the 30 minute speedboat ride than stay on Koh Samui if you want to experience the real Thailand.

It is a beautiful beach with soft clean sand, perfect swimming (the right depth and sandy bottom), kayaks and paddle boards for rent, and beautiful views of surrounding mountains. The beach is not too crowded, and it is long enough to explore different restaurants and bars along the beach. We loved it.

The family atmosphere at Pen's Bungalow's and Tong Nai Pan in general is priceless and getting harder to find any where in the world. The variety of good to great places to eat and a few laid back beach bars makes for a perfect beach setting. Walking the beach on your way to nowhere in particular is in itself a wonderful experience at Tong Nai Pan Yai.

Very friendly staff. They offered room service and e. g. laundry service.
We stayed in the bungalow with mountain view, which is quite new. We had windows on all sides and therefore, a very nice view and a bright room.
The accommodation doesn't offer breakfast. But in walking distance are several options to get Thai or Western breakfast.
To the beach it is only two to three minutes by foot. We enjoyed that beach (white fine sand).
Lovely villa & infinity pool. Villa has everything you need for your stay. Julanee and her staff are excellent - so helpful, kind and friendly. The breakfast each morning was delicious too.
Location near two beaches. Short walk to Thong Nai Pan Yai, which is very pretty and quiet with local bars/restaurants. A bit further the other side is Thong Nai Pan Noi, which is more touristy and has a bigger restaurants/bars.
Very nice accommodation. Pleasant and willing landlord. Without breakfast option, however a few meters from hotel locals provide wide selection of meals for fair prices. Motobike rental is available.
Good beach situated 2 minutes walking. The beach is not affected by low tide as much as other beaches in the island (Summer). There are a lot of restaurants and bars in the beach. Amazing 2C bar with view. Must visit.
Super quiet affordable little cabins in a beautiful location right off the beach. Each cabin has a hammock outside and has everything you need inside. Perfect for travelling alone or with one other person. The beach is about a 1 min walk away and the cabins are located right behind a couple of beach bar/restaurants. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

really enjoyed staying at Pingchan. staff were lovely and helpful booking transportation. rooms were spacious and despite staying in the 3rd row was still very close to the beach. the area is far from the tourist strip but has everything you need close by and rides can be easily arranged.
Best location on the beach, great food in the hotel restaurant. Spent 4 days with 2 small kids and loved it. Bed can be more comfy but you get what you pay for. Getting to the full moon party is a bit far specially finding a taxi for going back.
The staff there is very helpful the location and the beach infront is very good too.
The location also has some nice food street too and the restaurant at the hotel is pretty good too.
There is a 7 eleven opening up in the area also.

We booked a wooden bungalow for 4 persons for only one night. It went with a spacious bathroom, cozy terrace and well-equiped picturesque beach. But what I liked most was reasonable price per person!

The staff and the hotel manager were very kind and helpful. They really care about the guests and the environment and even helped with the transfer to the ferry.
