Ultra-modern plastic chain-looking decor adorned with brightly colored cartoon characters, soulless and commercial, but unusually with-it management and smooth operation that is not typical for Thai lodging. Check-in was easy and everything in the room worked perfectly. Location near Surat Airport is perfect for overnight stays connecting with flights. Convenient minimart, Thai food stalls (open until roughly 8-9pm), and coffee shop next door. Beautiful rubber tree orchard visible from back room windows (but that's the only beauty you'll find in this area).

Nice location at river side, very quite area and nice garden but dry at this time of the year. Host very kind and rooms are very clean good size and a/c is perfect. Swimming Pool clean and good size.
No breakfast dining drinks available so you have to drive 2-3 km to nearest 7/11 to bring what you need.
But its a nice place so no thumbs down here.

We drove up to visit Wat Prathat Chaiya, and Pum Riang town, had a sumptuous seafood lunch at Pho cape, and explored the long coast towards the north. The beaches are long, beautiful, and undeveloped.
We also visited Ratchaprapa dam. The mountain water scenery is beautiful. A leisurely drive around the area is a pleasure.

We really liked Surat Thani.
We really liked Surat Thani. There is a well maintained waterfront , plenty of shops and restaurants and a really good night market with plenty of food stalls.
We went on a boat trip on a long tail boat on the river and through the canals which was interesting and good value.

Loved this laid back city.
Loved this laid back city. We went on the boat ride (1 hour) through the mangrove area and saw lots of monitor lizards. In the evening it's great to go to the night market and graze on delicious street food. The area next to the night ferry also fills up with food stalls and you can sit there for a meal and a beer and watch the world go by. Would definitely recommend staying here for at least a night. It feels like authentic thailand.

Not many good restaurants that we found. People not as friendly as other locations. Ate in the Craft Bistro one night which on first impressions looked awful but the food was really good. Also ate in the Riverside restaurant, slightly more expensive but food good and a band singing nice music. Again, people not overly friendly though.

Organising a taxi at the airport was shambolic - I ended up walking 5km to my hotel because the local taxi drivers did not want to take me as it was relatively close and therefore, not 'worth their while' - Make sure you prebook a bus, taxi, shuttle etc before you arrive.
It was a pleasant stay at Top Residence Surat Thani. The rooms were clean and has a small balcony. We are thankful with the help from the receptionist who assisted us with the transfer from the hotel to a tourist agent office in town for our ferry transfer to Koh Samui the next day. Bring enough cash so you can conveniently make payment with the hotel for your onward transfer to the islands. Walking distance to eatery places and shops. There is a pool to cool down and a gym too!
I stayed before a couple of years and I stayed there again this year and I was shocked from the difference! The hotel is really very good ! The employer ( one Thai girl )was one of the kindest I met in Thailand ! The room was clean everything was perfect ! I highly recommend to anyone ! Probably you changed manager and congratulations for the good work👍
Very cheap hotel, which is perfect if you want to catch an early flight at the Surat Thani Airport.
The rooms are nothing special and in the middle of nowhere, but for one night definitely enough.
The owner offered to drive us to the airport for 100 Baht (even a time in the early morning was no problem).
WiFi worked very well.
The room was a very good size and the balcony was a great size. The whole hotel is very clean and so is the pool. There is also a gym. The staff were excellent and their English was good. Overall it was a very pleasant place to stay for 3 weeks. You do need to have transport. I rented a bike from X rentals excellent service.

Had large Bathtub which was one of the reason I picket this Hotel, so I could Soak in Hot bath after long day. But the Bath tub strangely only had Cold water, there was no Hot Water Tap, very weird.
Very close to the airport! Stayed here just overnight to catch a plane back to Bangkok. The accommodations were clean and fairly comfortable. The rooms are a little small but great for an overnight stay. The staff was very friendly and thoughtful, and the airport shuttle was very flexible, quick, and comfortable.
We needed to stay overnight near the airport to catch a morning flight to Bangkok. The place was perfect. Right on the river with a nice pool. Room was spotless. One suggestion to management re room furnishings. Small nightstands next to bed are needed. Mainly to charge phones.

Hotel five minutes from the airport. From the hotel they arranged to pick us up and the next day they took us back to the airport early in the morning. There is nothing around the hotel but enough if you just want to spend the night and continue your journey.
