Great value for money if you are not looking for anything fancy. It's simple but very clean and has everything so close nearby. The town centre is about 20 mins walk but we really enjoyed the town! The funicular to the old city is right across the road, as well as some of its stunning temples one minute walk from the hotel.

Charming small town, slightly off the tourist beaten track, this isn’t a bad thing! Plenty of temples to visit. Relatively easy to walk to all the main sights. People are very friendly. Some lovely places to eat in the town. There is a rooftop bar at one of the hostels which is a real hidden gem.

You don’t need more than 2 days here.
You don’t need more than 2 days here. We took the train from Bangkok and arrived around 3pm. Checked into our hotel and hung out. Then the next day we did a full day tour which our host set up for us and then we left the following day. It was the right amount of time because there’s not that much to do here.

I take photographs of wildlife, monkeys and monks, temples and people. So Phetchaburi kept me occupied for 16 days - I can't understand why so few people get off the train. It is just the right size to walk around, although Thanyachatra is just off a busy road that is not very easy to cross (but no traffic nose at the hotel). The locals are wonderful and once they had got used to seeing me around, I found that those who spoke English were keen to chat and helpful. The town is full of wonderful schools and happy, smiling and beautifully turned out children and teenagers.

Hello. First, we were greeted by a hotel employee. Showed me where to park. He led me into the room. The room was clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works, the shower has hot water, soap and shampoo. In the morning there was a light breakfast without payment, toast with jam and tea. Near parks, attractions and just the streets of the old city. I recommend.
Suck a beautiful and friendly atmosphere that makes to feel like you are home and not staying in a hotel. Service by the owner was super friendly and made our short stay memorable. Small hotels like this are the back bone of the travel industry and big hotels could learn a lot about service from the owner of this property.
This was by far the best budget accommodation we encountered in Thailand! Super clean, comfortable, friendly staff and even a free breakfast. Don't look further if coming to phetchaburi!
