Our stay in Chumphon was exactly as we anticipated, our reason for visiting was to stay at fisherman’s home stay, which was superb, we stayed an extra night in the town to catch an early morning train to Trang, this allowed us to witness the people of Chumphon setting up the food markets at 03.00 in the morning, brilliant.

Great place!
Great place! Great street food night market and shopping centres. We went to De Rust pub for dinner and watched a band one night. We really enjoyed our short time in Chumphon. Definitely make the trip to the viewpoint around 15mins outside of Chumphon, Definitely worth visiting!

Spacious bedroom and big bed. Small outdated bathroom with curtain shower in bath tub. Not much waterpressure.
Breakfast was poor, esp
eccially for foreigners. No cheese, or ham. Dirty jams and peanut butter with a spoon dug in was not apealing. Croisants and cappuccino was ok though.

Only there overnight with my wife and three year old grandson. Yet I had to book two rooms because they couldn't or wouldn't cater for the child.
No one in the reception until 08.00 am, the main gate was locked and although we had planned an early start (driving to Phuket) we had to wait for the receptionist to arrive.
The property cant be described has a hotel, two rows of rooms Nd the location is poor.
There will not be another visit and I would certainly not recommend to your readers.

There are some lovely beaches here.
People are not that used to seeing western tourists, very little English spoken. Though those that do speak English are keen to practice.
Restaurants were limited as were bars (due to covid).
Ate in a local restaurant. Friendly ladies. Food all came out at different times (rice first, before the meat/fish dishes).
Quite dark around the streets at night. We felt safe, but needed a torch.

I went to Chumphon for a city trip (rather than islands and snorkling which the city is famous for). The overall experience is good. There are not so many places for you to visit in the Chumphon city and vicinity area. But there are many adventurous places around the province (which require driving time up to 2 hrs in some places). Worth to visit anyway :D
Perfect location for Lompraya pier for transfers to Koh Tao (the perfect layover). Really nice boutique style hotel - super modern, cosy and comfortable. Cute garden next to the restaurant and 10 second walk to the beach.
The lady who worked there was really friendly, charming and accommodating and made us feel really comfortable.
We would 100% recommend, particularly for anyone getting on/off the speed ferry.
Great place to stay if you’ve been to or heading to Koh Tao, close to the ferry terminal in Chumphon and the hotel provides shuttle. Beach next to the resort was so massive and quiet it was so stunning! Tents are fun to stay in, bathroom is just behind the tent so at night you have to leave the tent. Great value for money! Pool is massive. We had dinner in the resort too which was great. AC in tent very powerful.
Highly recommended. It is not just a stay, it is a place where you can experience and admire the best of a fisherman town. You will feel the community of people living around, enjoy the best tom yam we've eaten on our 5 week holidays in Thailand and even though the area isn't on the top in tourists attractions lists there is a lot to see around. We had a great time, thank you!
In a quiet neighbourhood, close to a beautiful river. Close enough to great restaurants and down town, although you will need a motorbike or bicycle. Host will help you rent a motorbike, so no problem. Great location from which to explore Chumphon province. Nice little cafe with craft beers on site & owner will help you with transport. Speaks fluent English, too.
The hotel was close to the train station, and confidential to get the ferry to Koh Tao. The hotel itself is basic, & clean. It also has a lift which was much appreciated as we have heavy bags. Its centrally placed in Chumphon, with plenty of shops bars & restaurants around it. We were pleasantly surprised by Chumphon, so stayed for an extra night.
The grounds are amazing! The lodging is right on the river where people collect fishing nets at night with lanterns. It’s like a magical river garden hotel. It’s quiet and away from action but perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. Next time we will stay longer. Also, it was walking distance from a night market with tasty eats!
The resort is pleasant and large in well kept grounds.
The staff were amazing though and I would say it's worth the stay just because of the pleasant staff ☺️
I would have loved to have seen it in its heyday but as with much of Thailand it appears as if one day everyone said "I'm done" and stopped caring.
I liked the pool..
The location is off the beaten track for most foreign tourists, we live just a few hours by car north in Hua Hin. The beach setting is gorgeous, the beds were comfy with mozzie net, and the hotel was clean. The food at the restaurant was pretty good, not great.
The best hotel/resort on our trip in the southern part of Thailand. Great homemade breakfast, the room is amazing, very clean, good shower, soft bed, and a wonderful place to stay! highly recommend!!!!
Great location and price. Beautiful spot to get away from the city and relax. Chumphon is often overlooked by travelers but it’s a great town and the resort is a perfect spot to enjoy it from.
Quite a new hotel, clean, staff were helpful, the location in Chumphon is great if you have a car or bike, only 5-6 minutes from the station, lotus, 7Eleven
The location is very conveniently close to the main route #4. For someone on the way to North or South Thailand it is very recommended for 1 night stop over
