Nice location, close to the start of a hiking trail to the Siva brada geiser, Spiš Castle, Spiš Capitula and Spišske Podhradie. If you are travelling by car, other tourist destinations, such as Levoča, Žehra medieval church, Spišska Nova Ves and Slovensky Raj hiking trails and caves, are within 30-60 min drive. Friendly and helpful hosts. The house is on a farm and you can see grazing cows. Rooms were basic and simple with shared bathrooms and a minimal kitchenette available.
Penzion St. Martin is situated in the centre of Spišská Kapitula, UNESCO-protected area and offers views of the Spišský Castle as well as a garden, bar and on-site dining.

Really cool location and setting, which I wasn't expecting. It's in the Spis Kapitula which is an old ecclesiastical town and it's very atmospheric. Make sure you save some time to walk around that area.
The rooms and hotel are decorated in a unique manner in line with the ecclesiastical area. The restaurant isn't fine dining, but at this price point it's exactly what you would expect, and more. The hot teas are fantastic! Breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful.

Absolutely spectacular place with the view on the castle (book the right room "with the view" - otherwise use garden house to spend nice evening. Room quite big. Balcony with table and chairs is the key (the view). Kitchen is common and fully equipped. Owner - very helpful and cheerful. Small pub and grocery store not far away. But the castle...!!! Best place to stay here. ;)

A nice place with a very pleasant atmosphere - around the house there is a beautiful well-kept garden, the house has interesting wooden decoration, good wooden furniture, a lot of houseplants. Very comfortable beds. A spacious kitchen with all necessary things. The hosts are very responsive. I definitely recommend this place both - for couples and families with children.

We started with a trip to the Spis castle, While it was unfortunate that we could only visit the surroundings, the view from the castle is worth the hike.
The region has a lot to offer. We visited the famous Dobsinska ice cave and Strbske Pleso, which is a beautiful little town with a lake.

I think St Martin’s Pension made our trip so special . If you go here definitely stay there . It was a short walk down to the village and we felt like we’d stepped back in time .
The village isn’t A’s beautiful as Levoca which is stunning but holds its own special feeling and a great place to stay for some quiet time .
