There was a wedding Anniversary which the music went on till 12pm so we couldn’t sleep and when we got up for breakfast there was no one around we found 1 guy who directed us towards the back of the pub but there was next to nothing there we couldn’t get hot food or a coffee.
After going to the desk and asking for help we was told someone was there (The same guy we talked to the first time)
Who clearly didn’t want to do his job so we gave up and left.

The hosts met up on arrival and welcomed us, and gave us the keys. We really enjoyed the apartment, with the entrance facing a beautiful garden and fields! Pet friendly and spacious, the house had a good indoor climate and we found everything we needed in the kitchen! It is close to a bakery, a food market, and the river Drava with it's walking paths that we enjoyed. Just 10 minutes, over bridge to the beuatiful city of Ptuj.

Ptuj is a lovely historic town.
Ptuj is a lovely historic town. There are thermal pools which are a little dated but still very pleasant. The best experience was the visit to the castle. After you buy your ticket you can visit an exhbition about local carnival tradition (Kurenti) and an exhibition showing the production of cotton, silk, linen and wool. Then you can go to the castle which has three floors. You can explore various exhibitions on your own, there are paintings, weapons, furniture, and a lot more. We especially liked the mix of modern "paintings" and the old ones.

Very nice old town with a pleasant town centre. Easily walkable and nice pedestrianised areas. Quite a few sights to see, easily visitable in one or two days. Good choice of restaurants with lovely local food.
We didn't do any cycling but it looks like a great place and area for cycling. The river and local area are interesting for birdwatching. Apparently in the winter the river is a good place for seeing large numbers of wildfowl.

Ptuj (especially city center) is nice, cozy (the oldest in Slovenia) town with rich history to tell, some really interesting bars and all that is reachable on foot.
If you like beer, go to Bodi bar, if you like more "indie" scene go to Muzikakafe bar.

Small city, very nice, can see in a day or two. Outdoor cinema at local theater was great. Castle is cool. Terme Ptuj (waterpark) only fair. There is a free bus that can get you from the bus station (across street from train station) to center of city, and to Terme. We walked, but it was a bit warm and we had luggage, so knowing about bus in advance would have been good. Hotel staff had no clue.

we transited only, i passed through ptuj before, remember some bridge and river, some nice old architectiure downtown but nothing extraordinary to consider as tourist destination for more than a 1 night sleepover
This hotel was so charming with lots of history and ancient artifacts, including a large one that was part of the original building enclosed in glass right in our room! They have a cool little wine cellar and tasting area. There is a pretty courtyard to have a coffee or glass of wine. It is a 5 minute walk to everything in this town, and there was a free parking space available. The rooms are clean, air conditioned and comfortable. Overall an excellent stay!
One of the best values in three months of travel. The bed and bedding were perfect and the balcony offered nice views of Ptuj. The staff was very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with ( even with our English/German language mutle). The absolute highlight was their restaurant. We enjoyed one of the best seven course meals that had our palates dancing. Together with superior local wines, it was a meal we will never forget and will bring us back!
Apartment was very well equipped. Location was very nice, just outside the city center (20 min walk). Super market was very close by (5 min walk). Lots of interesting places to visit close by: Ptuj, Maribor, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Graz,... Only a 15 min car ride to the scenic Haloze region with amazing views on the many vineyards. The host was very welcoming and immediately responded when we had questions. An underground parking spot is also available!
Great place for business travelers. Located in the center of the city; hotel is clean, well taken care of with amazing and friendly staff. Breakfast they serve is nice and coffee is really good. Hotel has a parking lot, so you can park your car and walk around the city. Many thanks to staff and Bojan from reception desk for proper welcome and hospitality. We will certainly come back and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel in Ptuj.
Very friendly front desk and bar employees. I was impressed to find slippers in my room (it is a 3 star property). And also service from the bar was very friendly and attentive, they brought me drinks to the interior courtyard which is very pleasant. Hotel is very charming and tries to bring you back in time and the classical music playing is very nice touch. Room has large bathroom.
Location is superb, the B&B is located on the top of a hill and it has a lot of beautiful outdoor space around it. At the same time, it is within walking distance (15min) to the center of Ptuj.
The room was nice, breakfast was really good, with a lot of choices and homemade products.
The owners are super friendly, and if you have a dog, they can play with the owners' dog!
Sobe Prostija was a wonderful place to start our Slovenian adventure. Andrej met us in the courtyard to show us around, got up each morning to make the freshest bread for breakfast, was super responsive to our WhatsApp messages, and helped us get connected to local services (bike rentals, etc). The inn was very clean and comfortable, and we would absolutely stay again.
Very spacious room with quirky colours and interesting furniture. The hotel is right in the middle of Ptuj, and our room looked out onto a quiet square. Guests also have the use of a small kitchen, which came in very handy for preparing cups of tea and light meals. There is also a lovely courtyard garden, delightful for reading in or having a drink from the bar.
Amazing view and terrace, perfect place to relax outside of the city and just 15 min away by car if you'd like to explore Ptuj.
Great host, after a long trip we were greeted with delicious homemade wine, a very pleasant surprise :)

The apartment is walking distance to Ptuj, which is definitely a city we would recommend to visit. The terrace is at the back of the house and looks out on the garden. We enjoyed our meals there. The room has a double bed and a sofa. The kitchen is well equipped. The hostess was very friendly.
The landlord is fantastic, breakfast was great, rooms were nice and cozy, and the place just feels like you are home. And the location is excellent, as is the entire city of Ptuj!
Don't forget to pick up a 20% off to visit the nearby pool, hopefully the deal is still in place when you arrive!
