The hotel is located in a very quiet area. We had a room with a view of the forest behind. Only the birds could be heard. Very relaxing. The restaurant is elegant and chic with a large terrace, flowers and an artesian fountain. Clean room, clean linens, friendly and helpful staff. They changed the towels daily. The breakfast and the food at the restaurant were good. We received a room with a very nice terrace.

The city center is small but nice, with trees, flowers and cafes, while the Radomir putnik square and the square in front of Gymnasium are both beautiful, as well as the old parliament building and a church beside it. The food is great (Akustik konoba), all the cafes seem cozy, Garden cafe is nice for example, while the pastry shop Srce had nice cakes but too sweet for my taste. Sumarice was both touching and beautiful with postmodern sculptures but come prepared both physically and mentally. The Arsenal fest was mostly amazing with a couple of greatest musical acts, weird sculptures, great food and DJ stage. The only exception was the night when too many tickets were sold so people were left in the middle space beside the main stage. The garden stage was the most beautiful because of the trees but the arsenal inside of the main stage with an old large chimney also looked amazing, as well as DJ stage with grafitti, disco balls and creative lasers. One more great thing about Kragujevac is that almost all of the biggest attractions are in one place and extremely easy to get to and the taxi is cheap if needed. All in all, you should not miss visiting this place.

Kragujevac is a city where the people are kind and warm, the food is excellent and cheap, where you drink the best brandy (Šljivovica). Kragujevac is a city with a great historical heritage - the capital of Milos Obrenovica with the first high school in Central Serbia. Later, the city became known for anti-fascism and mass shootings during the Second World War. This city reflects its past. Not so beautiful architecture, this city with all other qualities - should definitely be visited

I have family in KG and visit usually twice a year. If you are traveling in Serbia it's a very valid alternative to places like Belgrade. There is a lot to do and see, it just takes some amount of paying attention and being willing to explore.
The central part of the city has a pedestrian walkway filled with cafes, shops, and restaurants, live music most nights, bookstores, second-hand shops, all kinds of interesting things to do and see. Prices are FAR less than say Belgrade. There is a good bus system and a Tourist Information Center to help you with that, or you can take taxis, which are quite reasonable and easy to find. There are spectacular parks, a terrific indoor pool, facilities as good as anywhere,;and some small but very high quality museums.
It's a smaller industrial city but really does have a lot to offer. It's just not quite as obvious as some larger city, and takes, like I say, a willingness to do some exploring.
A bus from Belgrade was, in 12/2023, about USD$10 one-way and took about an hour-and-a-half.

It's a very clean city with much more trees than Niš (my city). It's easy to navigate through Kragujevac and every street leads to a square where it is easy to see where you've been and where you are at the moment, it's very hard to get lost basically. There are markets (like Maxi or Idea) at every corner if you need refreshments or you don't want to go to restaurants for food.
Since we stayed there for practically one entire day (we were there at the wedding for one entire day and departed after breakfast at the hotel, thus the only one entire day), we only visited one place with great praseće pečenje (roast pork) called Aleksandar Veliki (Alexander the Great) - Google maps show a wrong location, ask locals where the restaurant is once you are up in the hill, but basically just look at the street numbers and head upward when maps tell you to stop if you don't see the restaurant; also, the restaurant was recently rebranded with this name, the name can be seen at the door inscription.
There are also a few museums near the city center, but their working hours are until 2:30 pm or 3 pm. A must see place - memorial park Šumarice and museum 21st October, a testimony of terrorism of the Nazi Germany in Serbia, a tribute to murdered students from local schools (and specifically one entire class), their teachers, friends, family and neighbors (around 2800 people were executed in mass shootings in the course of 3 days). This one has better work hours than others, it can be seen on Google and their website; the tickets are 100 RSD, so basically less than €1/$1. What may be missing is the translation of the comic since it is only in Serbian, but I advise you to use Google lens and translate it, it contains a lot of important information regarding the massacre of people in that area.

Very nice, well equipped apartment in a good location - was an ideal base for exploring Kragujevac. Really appreciated all the pantry staples provided like coffee sachets, herbal teas and spices, the shower products and kitchenware. The sofa beds were more functional but perfectly comfortable. The living area was nice and spacious with a good kitchen area too.
The apt is very clean, spatious, luminous, with a well equiped kitchen. Parking place is an excellent feature and the city centre is 10 min walk. Comunication with the owner and check in was easy. She was eager to give advice on where to eat, what to see in Kragujevac. Excellent, definitely will return.
