A small, charming, clean town, with a lot of landscape variations. There's a castle, there's a large zoo in the forest up on the hill, there's a nice river, there's a dam, there's a large recreation complex called weekend, there's an old and a new rail station, and overall quiet and pleasant places to walk around. I recommend!

Pleasant city for walks.
Pleasant city for walks.
Went with the family at the end of april and the weather was gorgeous.
We saw:
- The zoo (6/10) - very big and lots of potential, but some animals were not kept well at all which made me very sad.
- The small othodox cathedral, Buna Vestire - very beautiful paintings(10/10)
- The big orthodox cathedral, Inaltarea Domnului - also beautiful (9/10)
- Târgu Mureș Fortress - free entry and very beautiful park inside, must see! (9/10) The local beer garden is a nice spot but the staff and serving were rude and ignored us, so I would avoid choosing that one and try a terase in the city center.
- The Palace of Culture - beautiful exterior but we found it closed
- Lots of museums to visit which looked appealing but were also closed due to bank holiday
- Bumbed into a local band free concert in the park (7/10)

The city is nice, the people are nice.
The city is nice, the people are nice. But mainly in the center. We found it to be less attractive than we expected. Pretty much all tourist attractions are grouped in the center.
There is a major lack of information regarding public transportation in the city and surroundings. Stops don’t have any posted names, hard to guess where are the stops except for the very central ones. Hard to find convenience stores.
People are willing to help but they are offering conflicting information.
In conclusion, the city/mayor gives the impression that they do not want/like tourists.
Restaurants we ate at were all fine. We had traditional local food, Italian, international at different places.
Hard to get around without own car, particularly for longer distances.
Very outdated and confusing/misleading information online.

I grew up here and haven't visited for two years and the general feeling I got was that it was a bit unkept. New cafes have opened with good coffee on offer. The city though feels clogged with cars and if I didn't have family to come to, I would not visit the it at all.

You can visit it for one or two days.
You can visit it for one or two days. There are some museums, yet they are under renovation and closed. The citadel is worth a visit, and you will find a doll museum inside of it. With more than 400 dolls. There is an excellent international guitar festival in August, worth-attending. So you can plan your visit accordingly. There are a couple of beautiful cathedrals, too.
I need to travel alot because of my job and this place was even better than the top hotels in this range of price. very friendly staff, clean room with good smell and good furniture, very comfortable and a great breakfast with menui cooked by a cook and also a bar you can choose what you want to eat. they care about the custumer and you can undrestand that by the facts when they call you to check with you your arrival time, they even bought a chocolate as a welcome gift and it was on the bed when we arrived.
I took the suite at 10th floor , very clean, modern it was 31 of december and the sound insulatiion screen from all the noise, concert at 200 meters from the hotel, fireworks. The room was perfect. I was forced to enter the kitchen and ask genenically to "someone inside" and they were amazing , understanding, welcoming (asked hot milk for the baby and it seems reception and room service can't do that... customer has to eneter kitchen phisically)
A brand new apartment with very modern and tasteful decoration and all the facilities. Exceptionally clean, comfortable and spacious, huge windows overseeing the beautiful natural surroundings of the city. Two terraces! The host was very nice and cooperative and the price was an absolute steal. I stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels throughout Europe that had poorer rooms than this place. Absolutely 10+ & highly recommended!
A very good quality hotel right in the center of the city, modern design rooms, spotless clean, fine and helpful staff. Very good price/value ratio. Perfect breakfast with many choices. Free parking in the courtyard is also convenient, although no reservation possible. A big plus for the lebanese restaurant on site, which is indeed special and serving high quality food (although not cheap). Highly reccomended :)
Excellent location in Târgu Mureș , I was impressed by this 4* boutique hotel. We had an apartment, very spacious, all the design is high quality. The furniture, the details, everything was done with amazing vision and good taste. We had a pleasant stay here, their staff is respectful.
Breakfast can be better for 40 Ron.
An amazing hotel, everything is so clean, the stuff are helpful, the hotel and the rooms are so beautiful and comfortable, and the astonishing wall paintings are another extra.
The hotel's restaurant is also great and I really recommend some dinner in it.
If I will be in Targu Mures again, be sure this will be my hotel.
It's a fairly new building, so everything works properly, the rooms were very clean and well equipped. There's a very good restaurant right next to the hotel, we had dinner there.
Breakfast was delicious, check-in/check-out went smoothly and the hotel staff is kind and helpful.
We spent only one night at the Plaza, however the location was great and very convenient for being in the center of the city. The reception called us a taxi and they were very courteous. We got 2 rooms at the 5th floor and one of them had a great view of the street. Beautiful!
AMAZING location right opposite the fortress and we had a view of the cathedral from our window. The room was super comfortable and clean and we would definitely return. There is a wonderful Italian restaurant in the hotel (not Chinese as mentioned in the description).
An excellent hotel located around 30 minutes by walking from Targu Mures city center. We received a spacious apartment with very big terrace and nice city panorama. Big free parking near hotel, nice staff, good breakfast.
Perfectly located in the heart of Targu Mures
The breakfast is wonderful, the bar serves some great cocktails and also some tasty dishes
Tha jacuzzi is a big plus, also the massage service...
Very good value for the money
Modern, new, and nice studio with all the facilities provided. Quiet location with parking available. Very good communication with the owner. We shall definitely be back when traveling to Targu Mures.
The hotel looked very fancy, was located right in the town centre of Târgu Mureș! The room was nice looking, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast in the morning!
