Snagov is close to Bucharest so you can have a getaway...
Snagov is close to Bucharest so you can have a getaway easily. There's a lake you can visit but come prepared to meet mosquitos in the evening and bring a repellent product to protect yourself.
It's easy to visit, I ate at Country Spa and have previously dined at Casa Vlasia as well - bit pricy but food is OK.
I recommend it for couples, I visited the place with my husband for our wedding anniversary 3 times.

There are plenty to know about this lake history and geological origins.
There are amenities for Kayaking and boat driving school and a lot of places to visit by the water. The restaurants secluded in the forest, the former communist palace and private pontoons and taverns known by few locals or a few newly enriched people many from former communist era ...
Fishing in this lake was in the past at around a 27kg a capture as I saw in past years.

I spent an weekend organizing also my wedding party and was just perfect.Very nice staff, nice garden and rooms, everything in harmony with nature...Good food and coffee and also great spa services.I strong;y recommend it as it is very close to Bucharest ...an oasis just 30 minutes driving you shouldn't miss.

What do I mean?
We went to the hotel and they said: we do not care about your booking.com reservation, we do not have rooms anymore! Go look elsewhere for your booking.com reservation!
I've stayed many times at this resort and it was always a beautiful, relaxing place. The restaurant staff is nice and obliging. They have their special Country cow cheese mixed with various vegetables -- I gather this is their own food product, since I've seen cows around the property (the farm is separated from the hotel area, of course). There are two pools, which may help if noisy people gather around one of them. The rooms are spacious and cozy.

Our room was very cozy and felt like home away from home. It was clean, spacious and with a beautiful interior design.
The restaurant has pleny of options and the food was delicious.
We also tried the spa for a very realxing experience.
I highly recommend it and we hope we will visit again in a warmer season.
Fantastic surprise, the hotel has everything one would expect from a 5 stars hotel. Rooms, restaurants, breakfast, facilities, and of course, the main attraction during the winter season is the spa, with a big applause for the massage center. A big applause even for the Crama Restaurant's chef and service. Definitely, the best place un the proximity of Bucharest
The staff at Snagov Club were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating.
The spa facilities were really good and they made for the perfect relaxation for our son on a busy competition day.
Food at the restaurant was amazing and the waiters really professional and friendly. Bogdan in particular was an excelent host.
The rural athmosphere of the houses and the quite big area of the hotel, with a mini animal farm is still a cute concept, the hotel administration should just decide whether they bring the services up to the price they ask or to lower the price, currently low value for money paid.

The Hotel is wonderful and the room was very clean and bright. Also the facilities are a great plus. The pool along with the SPA space are very relaxing and the drinks from the Pool are delicious. Really impressed overall.

the hotel is located in Snagov, away from the stress of the city and its loudness. the furniture is luxurious and the spa offer is probably also good (we didn’t have the chance to try it out).
Very nice and classy room, nice pool - great for cooling off in the summer, nice premises and beautiful view by the lake. Food was tasty but the meniu is lacking some vegetarian options.
