Even the city is on the restoration is a nice place to be in. We discovered the best restaurant from the city: Turnul Berarilor where the food was very, very good and fresh and cold artisanal beer (made by them) was impressive.

Beautiful historic center.
Beautiful historic center. Architecture restored from the time of Stephen the Great. Everything you need within walking distance. Roses and honeysuckle made it a pleasurable walk all over town. Beautiful and clean. Mountains and fresh air. Other places of interest not too far away. Restful and refreshing.

Piatra Neamt is close to Ceahlau mountain, so a trip up to Durau is a must. Children have a zip wire kind of activity place 15 km from town, you need a car. In town Turnul Berarilor delivers good meals in a great atmosphere and the gondola will take you up the hill from where you can return on foot. Cabs are cheap, people are friendly.

We were travelling by car, so this town is very comfortable to stay there for a night. Also the Bicaz and Laku Roshu are near. It was amazing to ride by Telegondola and watch the town. But, imho, tickets to Telegondola aren`t cheap if you ride with a family :)

I arrived in Piatra Neamț after 14 hours in trains, with a couple of stops (Mărășești and Bacău) that left a lot to be desired. It was the beginning of my Moldova trip, and I was starting to lose hope. But there was the Piatra Neamț train station, already the best-looking building I've seen that day.
Walking to my booking, I notice something weird: the neighborhood is actually clean. No cracks in the sidewalk, no holes in the road, no random piles of trash. Somehow I was still in Romania.
Later, I was walking randomly between Communist Era buildings, when suddenly I notice a weird shape. Turns out to be a church. The Catholic Church of Saint Joseph the Builder.
It wouldn't be the last interesting looking church I would see. There's also the Lipovan Church, which seen from afar, I thought was a mosque.
I only reserved two days in the city, one of which I actually spent in the near-by Târgu Neamț, with a great fortress, and the second was cut short by my boss.
I hope I will come again to climb the Pietricica hill and take the gondola to the Cozla peak.

Piatra Neamt is a nice little city to spend some time in especially if you love nature.
The trip up the mountain with the cable car is great and the view is breathtaking.
Piatra Neamt is a pretty small city, you can walk to the most important parts. Parking is very cheap though if you choose to travel by car.
Beraria Nenea Iancu was where we had one of the best pizzas in our life.
The property is adjoining Piatra Neamt station, is convenient for a supermarket, currency exchange, and take-away food. The receptionist had phoned me prior to my arrival to ensure I was still coming, and to confirm my expected arrival time. Check in was efficient, and the room spacious and just the right temperature, with me sleeping very soundly. An early departure on the second day was absolutely fine, and I'll definitely stay here again if I'm in town.
The location is ideal, really easy to reach. Self-check in, clear instructions (received on the day).
The 2 bed penthouse was very clean, good shower, very comfortable beds; they even supplied coffee and water (small fridge included in each room).
Easy reach in all areas of Piatra Neamt, even if you'll stay in the town for pleasure or business. This particular flat has a large terrace. I imagine in the summer you can really enjoy it!
Pros:
-Quite a big room so that we could isolate our dog on one side of the room at night (he snores a lot)
-The view from the room (10th floor) was excellent
-The room itself was very clean
-Extremely polite staff that helped us with a mixup which was Booking's fault
-Very good breakfast
-Huge private parking with tons of space and free for the hotel guests
We had a lovely week at this comfortable pension in the heart of Piatra Neamt. Front double room unit (bed and living separate, ensuite modern shower / wash room, and large shaded front patio balcony. Host was great, shared kitchen facilities and superior location with on site parking . Highly recommended !
We had the best stay in Piatra Neamt, in this venue that offers great facilities, intimacy and friendly and kind staff. The building is recently renovated, showing high interest in preserving the original architecture and ambiance. We highly recommend Augsburg Apart Piatra Neamt!
Very nice former communist hotel, centrally situated, nice views. Warm cozy room, clean bathroom. Good price and breakfast included.
I also loved the terrace bar at the 12th floor (awesome view) and the fact that I could take the bus back home from the front of the hotel.
Discover a charming oasis in Piatra Neamt! This place boasts a great location near attractions and a serene garden for morning coffee. The friendly hosts provide a warm welcome, ensuring a clean and delightful stay. A must-visit spot for a memorable experience!
No details left to chance. All the comfort of home. Professional stuff with good English.
Breakfast excellent.
Free parking in front of hotel.
Clean apartments and bathrooms.
Had great stay at Atlas definitely. Would recommend this hotel sincerely.
Have rarely seen such welcoming and friendly staff! Super clean accommodation, everything is of high quality and well maintained. Just 5-7 mins driving from the central station and city centre. Definitely recommend it for a stay in Piatra Neamt.
The hotel is very cozy. Our room was clean and warm with comfortable bed. In 30 minutes you can reach the city center on foot. Piatra Neamţ is very nice. The hosts are very kind. Thank you for your hospitality!
The location is perfect. It has a good view to see the central of Piatra Neamt, really close to shops and attractions. Nice facilities and a quiet place. Highly recommend.
