Nine years ago I was staying in the same charming hotel right in the middle of the old town. At that time the place seriously required renovation, without losing its charm and outstanding view of the bay and hospitality. Nowadays everything is up-to-date, including USB power sockets. Also a roof terrace with an extra kick to the view has been installed.

Simple, large and clean room. Centrally located and conveniently located above a restaurant (that also serves a good dinner). A great place to start the Rota Vincentina trail.

By the beach, peaceful and one of the best service we could ask for. We requested our vegetarian meals and they went out of their way to accommodate, they kept asking for our suggestions, the chef went out to the store to find something to prepare for us.. We extended our stay as we were very pleased with the hotel, its service and excellent location. Sines is a lovely small town, a good break during a whirlwind 3 weeks. Run by locals which is a big plus and they would relate stories about the beautiful place.

The view for our hotel room. was fantastic. the price point of our hotel along with the accommodations were very nice. The hotel wifi was spotty. Hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel does not offer parking, so it can be a challenge to find a parking spot near the hotel. I would recommend staying in Sines as an overnight stop at most.

Just 2h30 from Lisboa by bus, Sines is a hidden Jewel in Portugal. The landscapes are stunning and so many amazing beaches nearby. Even though I had no car to travel around I manage to take a bus to Porto Covo and spent the afternoon there. Also, you can rent a bike to visit the beaches close to Sines.
There are plenty of restaurants in the city and also big supermarkets.
I do recommend the "Adega de Sines" and "Padaria Dom Vasco" for a really good lunch.

Sines is great, if you stay over for the festival FMM.
Sines is great, if you stay over for the festival FMM. It has gorgeous beaches, especially towards Porto Covo, which you shouldn't miss out, going for a hike along the sea on the rota Vincentina. If you like fish, than this is your place, I recommend the restaurant Estrela do Norte at the north beach!

While there isn’t a lot to see and do in Sines, it’s the perfect place to go to relax. Lots of places for mani/pedis,, massages, etc. Great vegetarian restaurant whose menu changes daily. Excellent brewery with tasty artisan ice cream. Everyone in town knows how to pour a glass of wine. 😁 if that isn’t enough there’s a nice little farmers market with wonderful fruits, vegetables, and fresh fish. I would recommend renting a bike and enjoying a ride along the coast to the many other beaches.
Lovely homely apartment in a pretty little town with great restaurants (of which the owners recommended many - thank you) and the best beaches we have seen in Portugal near Porto Covo. Always on hand to answer any questions, really responsive and polite. Great if you have a car as free parking on the road outside. Added bonus was a beach umbrella so could spend longer there.
Really well equipped kitchen and comfortable sofa to relax at the end of a day - a treat after staying in hotels.
We were lucky to be staying at the time of the Tasquinhas Sines 2023 Food Festival - so there were food stalls just below us by the beach and rock bands every night! The Guest House was spacious and felt very generous. There were several large rooms to use and a kitchen with large array of spices, oils, tea and coffee and more that we could use. They also left surf boards, parasols and sun hats to borrow.
Well placed for restaurants in the old town and the beach. This hotel has a nice feel and the reception rooms are glorious. Very lovely breakfast on the terrace. Excellent receptionist. My room was luxurious and the last one available however it did not have a sea view as the main building has the view and most of the bedrooms a built behind the main building.
The hotel sits high above the beach with nice views of the harbor. The old town grew on us to the point that we found we very much liked it. The Castle Museum was interesting - and free. The rooms were modern, clean, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was large. We felt the hotel to be a good value and we would return.
The apartment was very large with the facilities of a house, ideal for a longer stay if someone wanted to prepare food etc. You're only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Sines and the bay. I arrived around 5pm and was able to park immediately outside the apartment block. The apartment, with a lift, is on the 2nd floor.
The hotel is just OK but does not warrant the almost $200 for a regular room. I imagine it is great when you travel with young children as many things are planed for them )(pool, play structures even the meals and treats) but not great for a couple. The staff was nice and the breakfast varied.
All staff interactions were very good. Kitchen facilities were good. Beds were comfortable. Always had available parking around the hotel. The gym experience was quite nice too. Nice view to the sea. Breakfast was suitable. Very good price/quality ratio.
Had a lovely 2 night stay at this place on route down to the Algarve, nice friendly staff, decent atmosphere around the hotel, let me park my motorcycle right in front of reception which was good, plenty of choice for breakfast as well.
Breakfast is just as it should be - Portuguese cuisine and European menus. Choice of coffee, freshly orange juice, cheese, ham.... Fresh bread, buns. Just great. Like the location of the hotel.
It was a small hotel, only a few rooms. The staff were so very friendly. We had a sea view room with a balcony it was fabulous. If we were back in the area we would definately go back.
The staff was really friendly, the rooms were spacious and cozy. The hostel had everything we needed for our stay. 100% would recommend it to all the travellers coming to Sines.
the accommodations were basic. but the staff, cleanliness, and location, more then compensated for this. I was not disappointed. normally stay at higher priced chain hotels.
The Staff were polite and helpful. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was very good. Parking was free and available in front of the hotel. It was well located .
Location into Sines (close to oldest city Center & main street)
Strong Wi-Fi
Patience from the owner seen I got at least 1h delay from bus
