Fantastic experience overall. Great indoor pool, outdoor pool, gym and spa. Unforgettable views of the ocean from the pools and the restaurant. I upgraded for ocean view and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was great as well, a lot of choices including local fresh products.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a beautiful hotel. Very clean rooms, and what is very important-no noise from neighnours even tough it was a full house. The breakfast was wonderful.

At the start it seemed a good/nich hotel. However,over the week some of its queries became obvious. The main one for us was that when we had a query about the bill there were only 2 very young people at reception.We asked for a manager (midday Saturday) but was told that there was no manager until Monday. Have you ever been to a hotel where all the managers do not work during the weekend. I found it amazing and unbelievable. There were loads of other things, such as no one seemed to check whether the breakfast ingredients need replenishing, etc etc

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The pool area had a nice mix of sun and shade. Wifi was available throughout the hotel. The closet space in the regular rooms was very generous.

Unfortunately, the weather was rainy and not conducive to outdoor activities and walking about. So, I had to drive to restaurants and most everywhere. In the rain, on mountainous roads, this became more of an effort than I wanted on my vacation. When I did go to recommended attractions, I found them crowded. I loved my accommodation, but I did not find the island of Sao Miguel to my liking. Perhaps, visiting at another time of year would be better.
