We missed the check-in time and arrived at 1 in the morning. But the employees responded to all our question through WhatsApp. And we even had a videocall because I couldn't find the hotel in the night.

wonderful quiet location on edge of River Douro. Beautiful walk available along “towpath” with wild flowers, ospreys etc. Why only two stars? it has two lounges, two dining rooms, air conditioning, hair driers, en suite facilities….and lovely owner and staff.
Next door by the station is a very interesting restaurant with unusual regional dishes at very reasonable prices.
