Wow, what a gem of a hotel. This is a truly spectacular property that exceeded even our high expectations. The staff and service were fantastic and the place gives you an immediate sense of calm. The surroundings are absolutely stunning. What we also appreciated was that the food, drinks and activities were not overpriced, so you left feeling like you were not taken advantage of, which can be the case for a lot of high end hotels. The food was delicious and in beautiful settings.

Despite some language barriers, communication with staff was achieved and able to make ourselves understood. This would probably not be a problem when the hotel is busier and more staff are present (only one in the evening and morning).
Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent in very pleasant surroundings, and would be even better during the summer as could be outside.
Location is very convenient for Monsaraz (as long as you have a car).
Room was spacious, with good shower room, etc.

Beautiful country house with a gorgeous garden and view of Monsaraz castle from the pool. The room was big and extremely clean, the water pressure in the shower was top notch and D. Márcia was super nice and welcoming. For breakfast fans, breakfast was very good and complete, with homemade cakes, bread and cereal options, fruit, boiled eggs (plus scrambled eggs and bacon upon request), yoghurt, etc.

Authentic Portugese style accommodation, nice place outside (lots of green and cosey) to have breakfast and a nice swimming pool, very good breakfast. Staff was very friendly! Close to Monsaraz and lake Algueva and dark sky tourism.

Location excellent, cafe next door for snacks,coffee etc,easy walking to rest of location.Patricia the key holder in local gift shop very helpful.The accommodation spotless.
The house was quite spacious. The fact that there was a specific brand of a coffee machine that needed specific capsules and that the house didn't offer them seamed a bit odd, when most of them with such a machine offer capsules and tea! When asking the host about the capsules he answered in a rude the way, telling us that we should buy it ourselves. Beyond that and regarding this season, hand gel for COVID safety was missing. The house is ok, but it seams to be badly cared about.
