Carla is a most welcoming Dutch lady. When she enquired when I would arrive and I mentioned that I was travelling by bike, she told me that she would put a beer for me in the fridge. This promise gave me strength to keep pedalling all day long! In person she was even more charming. Her house is at the top of a small hill with nearby modern construction. From there you can walk in ~ 20 min either to the beach or to the town centre. I did the first and had dinner at a small, nice beach restaurant that she recommended. It is a beautiful beach with little construction and you can walk on the sand as long as you want. The house is nicely decorated and I got an upgrade to a room with sea view. You can use the kitchen. I even sit at the terrace to enjoy my beer. She takes great care that everything is very clean.

Areia Branca's beach restaurants are really comfortable and of high quality. The price level is affordable. There are a few very good restaurants in Lourinha that are preferred by the locals. They are also worth visiting. Restaurant Chakall on Areal beach was our favorite place during the afternoons. On Peralta Beach, a great small sea food restaurant popular with the locals, which we also liked.

Susana is the greatest host. She welcomed me and made me felt right at home, given me a tour of the property.
I struggled a bit to find the place in this little village as my google maps didn’t take me to the right place.
However this hotel is well preserved and hidden away so it’s very nice and quiet.
I had the single duplex room which was very pleasant.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to use the facilities as it was a short stop between Sintra and Obidos.
Beautiful boutique hotel , great service - got recommendations for restaurants, beaches and places to explore in the area. breakfast was excellent and served near by the pool and i even got gluten free bread that they bought especially for me :-)

Incredible location overseeing the ocean and with a gorgeous pool and cool gym. The apartment is stylish with a cute garden. Super easy access to Lourinha and Peniche.
Nice quiet location, albeit slightly agricultural. 10 mins drive to Lourinha and beaches. Good wifi, fully stocked kitchen and lovely pool. Very clean.
