So this gets an 8 even though it met all my needs, only because my 10s go to exceptional, above average places.
Need was comfortable, bathroom was great, but the room was small. However, I didn't hang out on the room, only slept there, so for me, it was fine.
There are a couple good restaurants within 10 min walk and some little markets if you need some water or beer or snacks.
The staff spoke good English and gave me all kinds of tips and suggestions on what to see and when.
I also liked the private parking.

Nice small town.
Nice small town. The hotel is excellent with big rooms,very professional stuff, the spa has dry and Turkish sauna,great pool and jacuzzi. We had a nice dinner and breakfast. The price is real. Only 10 minutes drive to Aveira.,where you can do a lot of shopping and enjoy a hundred of cafes and restaurants.

We could not fault this hotel. The room was very stylish and spacious with a private external terrace with outdoor furniture. The bathroom configuration was great with his and hers handbasins fabulous tiling... all very new. The staff were professional and helpful. The Vista Alegre porcelain everywhere was a bonus as was the museum. The restaurant and indoor pool were great. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The overall ambience was quiet and relaxing. Thoroughly recommended. The general location was not great but we travelled out to Aveiro and Costa Nova and these were both worth a visit.
A small and very personable surf hotel in a quaint and secluded part of Aveiro's old waterfront. Although not so close to the beach, it suited our needs just fine. The young multi-culti staff was the hit, and the barbecues with DJ that they set up outside in the evenings suited the vibe of the place well. Probably more known amongst the surfing community than anything else, but as non-surfers in our 50s we enjoyed it greatly. Breakfast was freshly made to order and excellent!
We loved the hotel! The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the river. The breakfast had great variety that satisfied the needs of all our family members (and believe me that's not easy). We also loved that the hotel had the indoor swimming pool that we enjoyed in the cold weather. Very highly recommended and definitely will be back.
We were bike touring in Portugal and this little hotel was right on the Eurovelo route close to the ferry. The facility was lovely, close to a park, with a common sitting area downstairs. Rooms are small but completely functional and comfortable. Very good value. Extremely friendly staff with excellent English.
The hotel is very nice on the inside. The staff was very professional. We booked a Romantic Suite, the room was huge and nicely appointed. Complimentary parking, very easy access to Aviero and the beaches. The breakfast buffet was very nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night, the food was very good.
The room was very good, all the materials used in the construction are really high level finishing... the pool and the sauna was great.
and the best part are the exteriors, very well maintained, nice plants, the possibility to walk around the Vista alegre old town and houses.. is super cool...
Great 4 star hotel,very clean,big rooms,excellent service,friendly stuff. The breakfast is great. The spa has Turkish and dry sauna. Inside and outside pools, jacuzzi. Aveiro citi center is 10 minutes dryving.Ilhavo city center is 5 minutes walking. Great value.
The stay was pleasant. The staff was helpful and tried to make the stay perfect. Recommended places for dinner. Place of the hotel is center, has a parking lot (a little bit narrow entrance)

The exterior does not do the hotel justice. The interior, lobby and the facilities are marvelous. The restaurant is old world/modern chic, the breakfast dining area is very nice, the breakfast is a feast, the pools and spa are very, very nice.
this is owned by very friendly great people. we were cycling the coast and they brought us to the hotel by zodiak boat. very accommodating and helpful. close to the Ferry as you come off this, just in case. I would stay there again;)
In my view the hotel had some ‘70’s’ grandor in its appearance, although adequate modernizations have been performed. Nice atmosphere, good service and ow, we took the buffet dinner, which was otherwise good -with superb deserts 👌
Breakfast was great, bread was amazing and everything was very clean. Pool was great and refreshing and rooms were great as well. And the hotel gave great restaurant recommendations in the area as well.
