The reception rooms were spectacular - we felt like we were in a palace. The swimming pool and its surrounding area were very pleasant. The gardens and exterior decor were very attractive.

the country position, so surreal, fantastic host/owner Antonio. Breakfeast is a real delight, with the owner actually making you and fantastic omelett, or anything else you would like.

The host was very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. We were upgraded to a larger room which was a nice surprise! A little supermarket over the road was really convenient. We really enjoyed our stay in Estoi

What a special property. Beautiful setting up in the hills. The property was so clean and immaculate. It was my favourite stop on a road trip. Wish I could have spent more time there. Breakfast was simple and delicious. The pool looked like it would be super nice on a hot summer day.

The view over the marina from our room was wonderful.
All the staff were wonderful too.
Located in downtown Faro just a 5-minute walk from the train station and the bus terminal, this modern hotel overlooks the old town, marina and the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

Excellent location, very convenient and fabulous for a cocktail or wine on the rooftop. Breakfast was also enjoyable with a lovely selection and Tiago definitely deserves 5 stars for his friendly professional service. However, the set dinner menu was a disgrace on the first night, we had read all the past reviews before our arrival and we were extremely disappointed with the standard of food presented for the price. Also, the rooms had open wardrobes (basically a rail) and the walls were paper thin.
Decorated with oil paintings and tiled floors, Hospedaria Frangaria offers pleasant accommodation with free Wi-Fi. It includes a popular street-level restaurant and free parking.

I did not have a time for the breakfast but the staff was so kind to offer me a small bag takeaway for breakfast.
This is a fascinating little village. There is a shop of some kind around every corner (but it does mean you have to explore a lot to find everything!). It has a bizarre one-way system (do NOT DRIVE THE WRONG WAY TO THE HOTEL!). The sustainable produce shop just around the corner from the hotel was fascinating - and even sell products in hand-luggage sizes!

The Palace and the Roman ruins are worth a trip to this small and otherwise typical town; and Casa de Estoi is the loveliest place I stayed in over a two week trip throughout Portugal, with one exception. The host Jose is delightful!

Estoi is a lovely little town.
Estoi is a lovely little town. Please DO NOT GO TO OLHAO though - the police are corrupt and target tourists vehicles. They only clamp hire cars and leave the locals alone, they are a disgrace to the country! The town hall worker (in Olhao) stands about all day and hands ready made maps to tourist to show them where to pay the fines. I will never return to Portugal until these corrupt officials are removed!

The town of Estói is lovely with beautiful walks down the narrow lanes off the Church square. There are cafes, bars and shops. It is possible to walk into the local hills from the town where there are lovely views. There is easy road access to Faro, Olhão, Tavira and other coastal towns all with a great choice and range of restaurants, bars and beautiful buildings. The train along the coast is a great trip. There are ferries from Faro and Olhão to some lovely islands 20 to 30 minutes away. The apartment we stayed in - Estoi Terraces was excellent, spacious and comfy with a lovely outdoor area. Easy parking outside the block. The owner was really friendly and helpful and easy to contact.

There are few shops and only one restaurant.
There are few shops and only one restaurant. There are just two things to see- the palace which is now a hotel and it is not open to non-guests and the Roman site which is interesting. A day visit is sufficient to see both if they are open. Walking in the area was not comfortable.
The hotel is in a beautiful old palace, but the rooms are a modern extension. The views from the terrace are beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent and very good service too. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a choice of many foods, breads, cereal, yogourt, fruit and fresh orange juice and hot foods also.
We stayed with our dog and she was presented with a beautiful dog gift box with food and treats for her.
The staff also are extremely kind and friendly and helpful.
Wonderful breakfasts! An idyllic very rural setting with great views. Delightful hosts who run a an exceptional small quinta hotel Loved the pool, the gardens, the superb room, the relaxed atmosphere, the views (so many birds!). Everything was perfect for us and please remember that this was only 20 minutes from the port and city centre of Olhao, so easy access to Culatra and the islands, and within easy reach of Faro. What more could you wish for? Can't wait to return in October!
Excellent location, super friendly staff. Great ambience.
The hotel was kind enough to let us leave our bags with them after we checked out. The staff really went out of their way to help us which we appreciated.
The breakfast (served 8am-10am) is nice.
The building has so much character and it is amazing to see the furnishings still reflect this.
My partner and I most enjoyed the pool table to be honest!
For the price, Casa de Estoi cannot be beaten.
Beautifil and beautifully located hotel :) very calm and peacefull area. Room was bigger than we had in other locations in Portugal. Comfortable room and bathroom, everything very clean. Breakfast is served in baskets so we could eat on the balcony with beautiful view. There is also small pool and common space with coffee machine and frigde with some drinks and icecreams (you pay by leaving cash) - we love this idea :)
Everything! The owner is really lovely and very accommodating. She let us checkin early and also extended the checkout time because she didn’t need to get the room ready for anyone else that day. The bedroom was exceptionally clean and the bed was really comfortable. The property is beautiful and within walking distance to the centre of Estoi.
I had a great stay at this small family run hotel that exceeded my expectations. The welcome was friendly, the room was spacious and clean, the breakfast delicious and the pool was a dream to relax at on, before and after a hot Algarve day. I would definitely recommend this small hotel and stay there again when I come back to the region.
Beautiful palace and grounds which have been converted into a hotel. Rooms are very large (even the standard) and well-appointed in a minimalist decor. The pool area is great, as was breakfast. Well worth the short walk through town to walk through the lower gardens (not accessible from the hotel directly).
we liked it that much we came back, it’s a perfect stay over for the airport.
This hotel is great, inside it is like a little palace, very grand.
The breakfast this time was even better than last time, fresh orange juice, cereal, rolls, meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and pastries, oh and the coffee is good.
We spend wonderful 10 days in Vila Milreu / Estoi. We felt welcome and treated as friends. Our room was very nice, and the team responded to all our requests (towels, hanger, etc.). Very good breakfast in a very familiar atmosphere. We particularly liked the beautiful garden.
Beautiful tradition home in the perfect location! It is clean, private and offers great panoramic views of Estoi and surrounding area! We really enjoyed exploring the town, meeting the locals in the nearby cafes and restaurants! We cannot wait to come back here!
the property is incredible and perfect for a stay in the Algarve! the hotel is beautiful, the grounds are incredible and the food is amazing. highly recommend for a couple or a family. it is a calming place to get away.
Absolutely everything was amazing ,clean lovely place ,friendly family ,great bed and shower was wonderful better than in most of hotels ,we were very happy all what you need when you look for cheap option
Place super original, an old mansion turned into a hotel, catarina was a super host, the place is quiet; the common areas make you feel like home. Defintely going again on my next trip to the south.
The managers was very kind and helpfull.
A very typical houden. A real Casa from Estoi.
The night was very quiet.
The breakfast was wonderfull.
We enjoyd our stay very much.
