This was a short visit to the area to enable our 9-year-old son to spend quality time with his grandparents. The 5 of us stayed in the house for 3 days. The all house if well-furnished in a classic style and it's immaculately cleaned. Between the 2 floors, the property includes 4 bedrooms, a living room, a large kitchen and 2 common bathrooms with an additional ensuite. We did not cook, but all utensils and appliances were available should you wish to.
We were greeted by the hosts who are living in the house bellow. A lovely couple who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable installed and had all amenities important to us ( we can not forget the special treat we found on the arrival - a delicious homemade cake).
The property location was excellent for us. It has great road links to the town centre as well other places but situated in a quiet residential area. The train station is also 10 min away by car, from where you can reach Lisbon in 1 hour.
We were offered parking in the family private gated car parking area, but there is plenty free parking on the street. Across the road there is a Lidl, which we found very handy.
An excellent outing nearby is The National Railway Museum of Portugal, it was a hit among the 3 generations and is definitely worthy a visit.
We recommend this property, which is great value for money and surely we will book Couto Sa' again.

Given the reviews we were a bit apprehensive- but pleasantly surprised by the apartment. To update, it now has a TV and bedside tables; heating in the bedroom. It's spacious and well equipped. The sofa/bed/kitchen are all decent quality and new. Honestly we've stayed in much worse, shabby places fitted out in the cheapest IKEA tat that have had better reviews. The terrace is lovely, it's in a great location right next to the market but not noisy. The look is very minimal and like most Portuguese places it gets cold over winter, but this is common. Much better than the ratings suggest!

Very close to Entroncamento railway station; just a minutes walk between the two. Large, clean basic rooms. Good view of the railway - great if your visiting Entroncamento as a railway enthusiast. Just a three minute walk from the Portuguese National Railway museum which is well worth a visit with its huge and varied collection. Within the hotel there are some interesting exhibits including a bubble car, old scooter and London telephone box. Rather fun! Hotel is close to a few basic places to eat.
Hotel checked all my major boxes: cool, quiet room for sleep. Convenient private parking a few steps from hotel. Train station 5 minutes walk across the square. Town is a train hub. Great alternative to driving into Lisbon. Modest, but adequate breakfast. Not a lot of frills, but very functional, clean, up-to-date. Food options nearby. About eight minutes walk from Entroncamento Railway station and five minutes from the excellent Portuguese National Railway Museum. This is well worth a visit irrespective of whether you are interested in trains or not. Easy free parking in the streets surrounding the hotel.
The hotel was very clean, modern and the room was large. The curtains kept out the light. It was very quiet. Air conditioning kept the room at a good temperature.
Staff were friendly and welcoming you. Good selection for breakfast. Short walk from the station (7 mins)if you use the foot bridge over the rails.
The Gameiro is a simple and fairly basic hotel which is perfectly located opposite the train station in Entroncamento. We've stayed several times and it's always immaculately clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The room is spacious and clean. Beds are big and rather comfortable. There are a lot of parking spaces on the streets surrounding the hotel. It's a nice localisation to visit a lot of cool places in Portugal.
I loved the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. Everything was spotless. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was excellent. The breakfast was also fantastic.
