The feeling to not be in a hotel, but at the same time to have the freedom of a hotel room. It's really a "homey"-feeling. Welcomed with a super nice little cup of home-made porto. The bed are super comfortable. I love how they prepared a breakfast that makes you fully independant of timing

Good but basic (ish) accommodation - but perfect for our walk on the Rota Vincentina. Coffee and herbal tea available and a shared kitchen.

The stay was very pleasant. All the staff were friendly and nice and had no problem helping with anything. The rooms and beds were big enough and everything was clean. The rooms may have been a little darker, but it was okay.

The place is in the middle of the nowhere with a lot of peace, calm and tranquillity. The owner was really very kind and satisfied all our requests. We met two very simpatic women who were sharing the breakfast with os by having a nice chat together.

It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love that this IS NOT hot touristic spot. Yes, you'll find find restaurants in and around, wide beach with small bar on it. But in the nigth there is only sound of wind and ocean, and that what we need on holidays!

Lovely area and locals are nice and helpful.
Lovely area and locals are nice and helpful. Easy to get around and there are some reasonable basic services available such as guesthouses, restaurants. I didn’t see a gas station, ATM or grocery market so plan to stop elsewhere for those.

Very cute small village in the middle of paradise.
Very cute small village in the middle of paradise. Super spot for hikers and nature lovers. There is a minimarket and some restaurants open even in out of season times. When I am back to Algarve, I am definitely coming to Carrapateira again.

This is an extremely relaxing community with easy access to some of the most dramatic and beautiful natural features I have ever seen. Bordeira beach is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Amado beach is beautiful as well, but less dramatic and has more facilities. The village is quiet with several restaurants and plenty of parking for the beaches. There are countless hikes accessible directly from the village. Plenty of restaurants and snack bars

I loved the comfort and the clever lay out of the property.
I loved the comfort and the clever lay out of the property. the bed was really very comfortable with beautiful bedding and lovely towells. I didn't find the chairs at the table very comfortable but then I do have a bad back so need support. The staff were very pleasant and obliging. the only thing I would mention is that it said there would be tea and coffee in the room but I had not assumed they would be charging for each coffee pod at 1.5 euros which seemed mean in view of the price range of the property. Likely would not have hurt to have the coffee included at around 100euros per night. Otherwise everything else perfect

Carrapateira is a nice, sleepy little Algarve town that retains some old-fashioned charm. There's a useful mini-market and nice bistro with veggie options, and lovely coastal walks / beaches nearby.
The staff were very friendly and very helpful, for example when I needed hypoallergenic rather than feather pillows, they swapped them very promptly. It was a beautiful, quiet and peaceful location in the hills, and near enough to drive out to some spectacular beaches and coastline. The room itself was warm and cosy with underfloor heating which was great as it got quite chilly in the evenings. The breakfast was fine, but nothing special. But to be fair, we were the only people staying so it must be hard to cater.
Lovely little pension with a lot of care and detail put into it. Has a very nice courtyard full of flowers and is right next to the dunes and a short way away from the beaches. Carrapateira is also a nice little village that seems more charming than a couple of other places we saw along the coast. We were very positively surprised because we did not expect this place to be so nice. Breakfast is exceptional, staff is very nice and helpful and the location is perfect for exploring the nearby beaches and coastline.
Dona Estela is such a lovely person and unbeatable as a host. We were welcomed with a glass of Port 🍷 produced by her relatives who live in the north of Portugal. Also there were all kinds of products for breakfast waiting for us in the fridge.A kitchen is available, MiniMarket near by. As an extra service Estela offered to wash our clothes (we were hiking on the Fishermen‘s Trail) and by the time we returned from our little walk through Carrapateira our clothes were hanging on the clothes line.
Cozy place in Carrapateira while hiking the rota vicentina. There is a shortcut from the Lodge to the village center so it's very easy to go out or to the supermarket. Carrapateira is a magic small village! Definitely recommend staying here.
Free laundry, tea, coffee available, and very well equipped kitchen.
I wish the lady who manages the check ins was a bit friendlier, she doesn't speak much english and although a bit grumpy she was always available to help.
The place was perfect. The house with a kitchen and a nice sitting area outside was a wonderful place to spent morning breakfast to enjoy coffee. We loved the stunning Bordeira beach and Carrapateira. The host Pedro was so nice he offered us transport to the village even though there were no buses going. We loved laid back atmosphere of the village. Definitely of the best places, we visited in Portugal!
The owner was very friendly and helpful, and brought us fresh oranges! He went out if his way to get me some medicine from a nearby town for an ear infection (as Carrapateira has no pharmacy). The room was spacious with lots of plugs to recharge things, and an extra blanket. Pillows were great and bathroom was very clean! Right on the Fisherman's Trail route...
Rosa and Pedro were excellent hosts, they responded very quick and took immediate actions if something happened. We loved the view from the house and the small village Carrapateira. The house has good cooking facilities and a cute small garden to chill. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Case do Miradouro.
The place is great to relax and we loved the view. Floor heating and a fire place added to the comfort. The apartment was very well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Besides being near to the beaches of Amado and Bordeira, it's a good starting point for beautiful walks in the countryside.
Beautiful hotel with lots of attention to detail. Lovely helpful staff especially Tiago. Perfect if you would like a quiet retreat in a rural setting. There are some delightful little cafes & restaurants nearby ( short walk but with hill). The beaches a short drive away are stunning & great surf.
Everything. The hotel Is located in a very quiet area, close to beautiful beaches. Recommended for those who like to relax and stay away from the tourist crowds. The room was very clean, very good breakfast and very nice staff. A peaceful place in Algarve.
In a small town along the Fisherman trail I did feel really welcome and at home. Nice common area with free coffee to welcome us and roof terrace.. showers also super hot and clean. Laundry spot and hangers. Really best value and feeling like home
breakfast was delicious, beds comfortable, exceptionally clean, extremely helpful staff, coherent design throughout the hotel, walking distance to the best beach ever, quiet, very relaxing vibe, great views from the terraces
nice chill vibe, lady who checked us in was lovely, really close to store and restaurants. lovely little town , awesome shower and bedroom lovely patio out front and line to dry clothes. what more could tired hikers want?
Ana and Eduardo were very accommodating and the property is like a small community villa. kitchen is spartan but our room poolside double was very sweet. Perfect rest from full days exploring the beaches all around.
Location is spectacular, carrapateira is my favourite on Rota Vicentina. There are bars in town and a small shop too. The house is big, we had a large room with bath thub. There s also use of kitchen.
Estela is a wonderful host! She provided delicious homemade cake and yoghurt to go with our morning coffee. We enjoyed walking around the town and had an amazing dinner at the Micro Bar.
