Exceptional hotel! I traveled in April, so it's the start of the spring season.
I loved:
1) the tasty breakfast and amazing staff which served us every morning with smiles and good energy (eggs, bread, feta cheese, cereal w oats, soya milk, vegetables, pastries, fresh fruits, juices, teas!)
2) our room no 202 (clean, spacious, modern, comfy beds, bathroom, superbe balcony w a nice view over the pool and sea)
3) the IMPECCABLE SERVICE OF THE STAFF, which makes this place STAND OUT!! The savoir-être of the staff is incredible, they are helpful in every way, AUTHENTICALLY hospitable, kind, smiling, always happy to serve you!
A wonderful getaway! If you can afford this place, book it, you won't regret it!

Burgau is a small fishing village on the Algarve, about an hour from Faro airport.
It is quite unspoilt and has a great beach bar, several good restaurants and a couple of good bars.
The coastal walk from the village to Luz is amazing, and access to other places of interest easy by car.

Butgau is a quiet, friendly little village. Great beach good surfing, lots of restaurants and speaking English was never a problem. No noisy night life or bar scenes for those that like that. Could not find any bus day trips as you would get in a bigger centre. Lots of great walking trails along the cliffs above the ocean. Generally a great little village.

Burgau is a very quaint village that is gradually expanding. The beach is beautiful and a nice size, also very clean. The people of Burgau are friendly,helpful and warm hearted. There are various restaurants, supermarkets, tourist shops. The place we stayed at was walking distance to the beach in Burgau, baker,restaurants and other shops. It had a pool which was very clean, surrounded in a beautiful garden. We had a bbq and outdoor sitting area.

This is one of the best places we stayed on our trip to the Algarve region. The staff is outstanding. Try the evening meals they are fantastic; well presented and very delicious, served by a fabulous host. We are returning as soon as we can !

Everything was ready for our arrival, spotless and the hosts very careful and polite.
This is the right place in Burgau, also the location is very nice and quiet neighbourhood. My favourite stay in Algarve.

Burgau is a nice small Village, with enough shops and restaurants and the beach is calm enough to have a safe swim.
Its great to have everything you need in this village, so you don't need a car every day or night.
* Amazing large glamping tent right near the coast and next to a national park, with outdoor covered veranda
* Fully tricked out facility with handmade touches throughout -- brand new!
* Easy to find and park, with small town right next door for restaurants
* Very friendly host
* Unusually well supplied kitchen and nice touches like a safe
Lyndsay, the host, could not be more kind and made me feel right at home at her guesthouse. The place is beautifully decorated, sparkly clean, rooms are very comfortable, and Lyndsay has thought of everything to make her guests feel welcome. Burgau is an adorable little beachside town and perfect homemade for exploring the Algarve area.
Very friendly hosts & dog. Everything was super clean and comfortable. We directly felt at home. Can definitely recommend this place very much for a stay in Burgau. Hosts can give you great recommendations for restaurants, bars, activities (surfing) etc. We will be back!
Fabulous location, near to beach and centre of village.
The apartment is wonderfully equipped, it really feels home from home.
The host met us and had provided welcome provisions which was kind, generous and thoughtful.
It was good to have the option of a pool too.
Locality of this apartment is very good, it is near to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. Kitchen is equipped with all you need. Apartament has a big, comfortable couch. Madam who was cleaning in our room was very nice, comunicative and skilled.
The property was a great location just up from the beach. The owner met us and showed us around the place to ensure we knew how to find everything. We found the apartment had everything we needed. We found the property to be extremely clean.
Location is perfect with unbelievable views, we loved taking hikes along the cliffs, watching sunrise and sunsets, and exploring near by villages. Jana the manager was an awesome host. Absolutely fantastic family vacation!

Loved Burgau over other spots in the Algarve - it was quiet (still 5-6 restaurants, a few bars and nice coffee spots) and had a great vibe!
Apartment was beautiful. Coffee shop right around the corner. So was the best restaurant in town, so was the best tapas bar. Beach was small and inviting and allowed dogs, giving it a nice family type atmosphere.
it’s not an hotel, guesthouse or hostel….it’s a wonderful and unique house, full of history, good vibes and energy!
