FAQs about hotels in Warsaw

Always on the Move

A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War Two. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.

Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.

Other cultural offerings are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.

Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centres than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.

Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.

I find that part of Old Town Warsaw the most attractive place to stay in the whole, large, city. Especially that part of Old Town, quiet and with the view of the river Vistula - this is "the" place to sleep when I travel through Poland.

Inside the Royal Castle is sumptuos, but equally the royal palaces and gardens at Lazienki and Wilanow. Great views of the modern city from the Palace of Culture and of the castle square from the tower of St Anne's church. An easy city to get around with a modern Metro and an extensive network of trams for which a 24 hour ticket cost only PLN 15 (GBP 3).

Green, safe, convinient public transportation, not expensive. We stayed in the very heart of the old town Zyto and The Folks were our favorite places to eat at. Copernicus center, fauntains, Lazianki, university Library garden, pedestrian bridge Most na prage, numerous squares. and all the parks and streets around the old town were accessible by foot and highly recommended for a visit

Obviously mostly rebuilt due to being completely almost wiped off of the map during the 2nd World War so not as many original old buildings. But warsaw is an amazing city to stay inwith plenty to see & explore. The rebuilt town is beautifully designed to look authentic. Great restaurants, shops & museums. Great walks along the river with plenty of river boat bars & music.

Live, vibrant developing city. You cannot see everytning for a weekend and we felt like time wasn't enough. Visited The old town (Stare miasto) and going there through Saxon garden and Tomb of the fallen soldier, Presidential palace. Must visit The royal castle, Lazienki park, Vistula river bank. The Palace of culture and science is right at the center, a massive building and great view from it. And the center itself is like a memorial since it was part of the Warsaw ghetto, you can see markings as a reminder where the wall was. Great beer bars and long list of local beer and food. As a foreigner I can say they have developed, cheap and integrated local transport (bus/train/metro) so it is easy to go and navigate from point to point. The locals that we've asked for info were all heplful and it looks safe to walk around at night unlike some EU capital cities to the west side.

I'm so surprised, having this perfeckt apartment with so much reasonable price! The apartment has one big room, one small room with two beds, Kitchen, Restroom and everything is so well furnished and clean. The apartment is located in the heart of city, so near from Old town, but so quiet. And the host provides with me youtube link for receiving the key, and it helped a lot with finding the location and also the key. Whenever I come back to Warsaw, I will definitely use this hotel again.

A lovely hotel with helpful staff in a great location to explore Warsaw. We only stayed one night at the end of our week in Poland and we wished we’d stay longer. Fabulous pool view, it did get quite busy but that’s to be expected. We had a high floor room with great views. Breakfast was very busy but well staffed and the buffet choices were excellent, something for all nationalities and dietary preferences. It was tasty and I’d stay here again just for the breakfast.

We had an extra large room - was a great room, made our 2 wk stay very comfortable. The hotel also has a great breakfast buffet every morning as well as a great restaurant and bar. The location was perfect for us with easy access to the city parks, shopping streets, malls, and Old Town - most of which we walked to; but bus/metro/taxis/Uber are also easy to access. I love Warsaw and I love The Sheraton - looking forward to coming back!

This hotel certainly makes an impression on you from the moment you approach the main gate. Step inside and you enter a world which can be descriped only as "Modern Royalty". And all that in the middle of Warsaw's Old Town! The property and rooms are beautiful and the staff is very friendly and accomodating (they even gave me an upgrade). The breakfast in the morning was supurb. I definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Pretty much a brand new hotel. Right on the river. Staff was extreemely helpful and the location was close to a number of good restaurants. An upscale mall is just next door, as well as a good looking steak resto. A 15 minute walk to the Old Town. Love Warsaw! Great food, nice people. Loved the Mexican restaurants around town. The herbal teas and pastries in Old Town are not to miss. Breakfast was also very good.
