The city can surprise with two museums: 1. Historical museum dedicated to “zolnierze wykleci” - “cursed soldiers”. Fascinating discovery of one of most tragic treatment of Polish patriotic soldiers, who fought fiercely Nazism during the Second World War, and after the WW2 where hunted, prosecuted and tortured by new Russian occupants, among them also Polish brainwashed civilians. Their merits and devotion to protect the country was negated and their reputation destroyed for decades. Only recently recognised as a major mistake by skilled Russian propaganda - that continues to destroy nations. Museum is new and very interactive! A must to see and be place for any Polish citizen to learn about our past to protect us against another propaganda. 2. Local museum dedicated to culture of Kurpie region - very diverse, amazing from historical point of view and promoting artistic traditions of “Wycinanki” worth seeing!! Also a new museum!
