This place is for anyone who wants to get away. Having a beach to yourself where you lie under the palm trees and enter full recharge mode comes at a high premium almost anywhere. Here you get that luxury at a discount rate.
The rooms are basic but contain all you need. If you get claustrophobic without WiFi you can connect via starlink for 5 pesos close by. They serve good food and cold beverages.
The kids took surfing lessons, we took a boat ride to the nearby Mamon island but were able to time it so that all the boats from Siargao had left to go back. we had the beautiful white sand beach to ourselves, only to go back to Anajawan and kept on having their white sand beaches to ourselves.
Visiting Anajawan for five days was the absolute highlight of our two week trip to the Philippines.

The owner is very friendly and accommodating. We missed our ferry to Siargao and he immediately agreed to change our booking without any extra charges - thanks again! He also helped us with renting a scooter to get a good price ;) The apartment itself is very nice and cozy – well-maintained, with a large balcony, fast internet (Starlink) and super clean. For a longer stay a stove and some kitchen tools would be nice :) But there are plenty of restaurants in the area to grab some good food. We highly recommend this residence for a stay in Siargao!

I like how stressfree the environtment is. The staff were friendly and approachable. They are accomodating. We even met the owner who was very down to earth. Amazing people. Food was great. The chicken adobo is a must try along with the mango shakes.

I just want to mention that the resort like other resorts in the area was badly damaged by Supertyphoon, local name Odette and have not recovered yet. Much damage still. Noticed other small resorts totally gone. Only some concrete piling left. It will take some time to rebuild the area but our stay at Tara was ok.

Nothing that was advertised was available. The diving board is half sinking and wouldn’t recommend stepping on it without a tetanus shot. All paddle boards and kayaks have holes…you will sink. Do not eat there, you will be sorry. The highlight was the hot water, but make sure you bring your own cleaning products because the toilet leaks straight onto the ground of the shower.
