Sipalay is only 4 hours by car or private transport from Bacolod city. It is a small laidback clean town. Sugarbeach has a beautiful long sandy beach with half a dozen different resorts. In the area you will also find quite a few other smaller beaches with other resorts. There are islands and picturesque bays to be explored.

Sipalay is a small market town.
Sipalay is a small market town. It has other beaches less isolated than Sugar Beach but I don't know what hotels are available. Buses from Bacolod to Hinoba-an stop in Sipalay making the town easily accessible.

Best beach in Negros is in Sipalay!
Best beach in Negros is in Sipalay! Lots of choices, depending on your budget - always research first before booking or travelling so you know what to expect. We stayed at Takatuka at Sugar Beach and everything is just excellent. Their menu is extensive and everything I ordered while there tasted great. It's easy to get around within sipalay city proper. However, when staying at Sugar Beach, make sure to have everything you need with you (especially first aid kit and medicine). Takatuka does not have a swimming pool but the kids will surely love playing on the shore and in the water.
