Went to Dive the wrecks in Subic Bay through Mangos..
Went to Dive the wrecks in Subic Bay through Mangos.. Although vis was not the best, there were some interesting wreck diving and Mangos is a good place to dive from. Good management, staff and equipment was up to par for renting. The other aspect is that is not known for its diving so each site was quite.. only once did a another dive company swim through our dive party..
As the diving took most of the day we did not get a chance to see much of Olongapo.

Terrible raw bleeding chicken adobo served at new Kongs inn...
Terrible raw bleeding chicken adobo served at new Kongs inn restaurant.
Excellent trip by the taxi driver who took us to view wild monkeys and giant flying fox bats perched in the trees.
Stayed at New Kongs but after returning 12 days later, the food at the restaurant went from best adobo in the area to the worst adobo I ever tasted. After returning to stay again at New Kongs, the restaurant Kongs served us raw bleeding chicken adobo that was obviously microwaved. We sent it back and the sauce was only gravy not adobo sauce with no soy sauce and no peppercorns. After sending the food back we waiting and waited to only received over cooked rubbery chicken from a microwave. Very poor quality adobo chicken at Kongs! Horrible food

too bad we didn't have a change to look around the city...
too bad we didn't have a change to look around the city because it is heavily raining during our stay. We checkin one of the Hotels in Baloy Beach Resort & all i can say is that i think the hotels in the Baloy Area is a subdivision. because we paid an entrance fee. 100/person. and also Olongapo has a two colors of their jeepney. blue for travelling i think to the beach? and yellow one around the city.

Too hot outside.
Too hot outside. I know Subic/Olongapo so just stayed in the cool room and stayed in the top floor pool. FOOD is/was always great, especially the CHILI CON CARNE, XLNT. The meat loaf, not so good...so I'll not recommended that again.

Location of the Harbor Point mall was perfect.
Location of the Harbor Point mall was perfect. It's a large mall at that. Mini-mart is a one minute walk open 24 hours. Main street is one minute away. Pier 1 Bar & Grill is a must. Live music on the weekends. Many restaurants. Barrio Barretto is not spectacular at all.

My wife organised a house for the family 20 family members...
My wife organised a house for the family 20 family members and we book blue rock hotel our hotel cost over 9000 pp for 2 standard beach front rooms with booking.com when we arrive at blue rock hotel we were so disappointed the photos booking.com provided must have been a very long time ago,I have never seen worse accommodation,we lost the 9000pp and moved our self to the wild orchid hotel 20 meters away cost us 11700 pp =$312 Australia family room great accommodation great service and excellent food big pool if you go to Olongapo stay there.
Location was decent even tho parking was tricky because of the small space. There are water activities operators right along the beach but those are not managed by the hotel so you'll have to make the necessary arrangements yourselves. Food was passable and were big servings for sharing tho it took hours for the food to be prepared after ordering.
Room looks new, spacious with two wide beds that can accommodate comfortably four adults, with safe deposit box. Toilet and bath are good. Bottled water, tea, coffee are available for free. Parking lot is in the side of the hotel. breakfast is acceptable and reasonable for Php300 per pax extra guest.
We wanted a location in the heart of town. We know the area and wanted to stay on Magsaysay. in other words we wanted a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay and knew that the facilities were not a resort, and not a new western style accommodation. it was perfect for our purposes.
The hotel offered no breakfast - so no opinion. For the first two nioghts I stayed in a room with very noisy AC - could not sløeep at all. On third day I have asked to change the room and the personel was very helpful - I got a quiet room, also more distant from the nolisy street.
breakfast and food was great
good view on top but there are a lot of events and you cannot swim and you can hear a lot of noises in the room. it would be better for this hotel to have its own event place or room as people paying and guest checkins are losing their perks.
it is very clean, very friendly and very accommodating staffs, from receptionist, valet parking, restaurant, room cleaning - we can't complain. Infinity pools were nice, i and just wish they were exclusive to hotel guests, so it won't be crowded. Foods are good.
Security is adequate. Staff is friendly. Service car driver was good. Beach is clean. Hotel property is somewhat groomed in the common areas. This place is perfect for the average Filipino family.
Location, the view. Not to many people,as its a small hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms. Felt very relaxed. Plus a great sports bar, pool table, good music. Didn't need to leave the hotel.
owner was very responsive and was very considerate regarding some issues we encountered…we had a really nice stay, we will definitely consider booking again when we go back to subic…
Nothing. It was a really poor hotel charging very high prices (to be fair, I had to stay there for work over a long holiday-weekend). I would never recommend going there.
Proximity to mall inside Subic Freeport Zone and clean facility with reasonable price. A Bedroom, living room and kitchen is very ideal for family accommodation.
The location , it is close to shops , restaurants and stores . The free private parking for it is necessary as the hotel is located in the Main Street .
