The people of Dipolog were very obviously not ready for a family of 4 tall Australians walking around their streets, we were stared at very intensely everywhere that we went, which was a bit off putting. We were there visiting a local friend, who was a great guide and helped us to navigate Tuk tuks and Baò Baòs ( do it, it's fun and only around 25-50 pesos per person, depending where you're going). We squeezed 5 is us onto both types! We had dinner at Grandma's restaurant, great food and atmosphere and great prices, close to the boulevard for an after dinner walk
We used Panda to order meals to our various hotels, they were efficient and quick but they quite often wouldn't have change, so ended up with pretty good tips😒. Next time we would hire a car and driver so that we could see everything.

Dipolog is a up and coming city in Mindanao. It has its share of nice restaurants, malls and a plethora of food options. The nightlife is tame compared to other major Philippine cities. But the locals are nice and there are trips one can take outside of the city to appreciate nature. Only drawback is the beach in Dipolog proper is not clean enough to swim on.

We went to Dipolog to visit family who we had not seen since before Covid. We hired one of their vehicles to make life easier. One tip....Driving at night is a nightmare with so many unlit bikes and tricycles, so I did'nt do it.

The thing I liked about Dipolog was their Sunset Boulevard.
The thing I liked about Dipolog was their Sunset Boulevard. They had a long stretch of their boulevard where families usually spend their afternoon. They also had wide and peaceful roads. I was also able to travel to Dapitan City. I recommend that you guys visit Dapitan as well. Overall, Dipolog and Dapitan should be included in your Bucketlist since both places is Serene and Calm. The place are also very clean.

Dipolog is much like other small cities of Mindanao. The boulevard is where youll find everyone hanging out during sunset and there were plenty of restaurants in the area.
Dipolog is the Spanish Sardines capital of thePhilippines. This is their main product. They also have lanzones and lots of Philippine lemon.
Dakak is a short bus ride from Dipolog.
My family and I stayed at Powers to meet with other family members who live a distance away from Dipolog to celebrate a birthday. I have stayed at a few hotels before but never expected something as good as Powers. The staff were more than helpful and very friendly and the villa was amazing... everything we could have wished for. The pool was very clean and constantly maintained. I would highly recommend Powers to anyone traveling to Dipolog 🤗😉
Perfectly fine hotel close to airport. Not really new but nice archtecture set around courtyard garden with pool. The pool could be better cleaned. Rooms are large and modern. It is a 5 min walk to DPL, Ok, with light luggage. Biggest positive surprise was the hotel restaurant for dinner with my family. Great meals to be in the Phils. The portions are a bit on the small side, but all very well prepared, a bit Chinese style maybe....

Room ideal nicely set up and clean. staff was very helpful and accommodating. Turn air con on before we got there so it was ideal. Temp in room. Love that. This hotel was almost ideal and perfect i would definitely go back here again. Just need more variety restaurant menu. And could use more parking as it was limited.
This is the perfect spot for a couple to spend a romantic time together, i was alone but luckily an old flame joined me on one of the days - but its gorgeous garden setting, right on the edge of the beach - it's made for romance. Dipolog is a safe, friendly town - i walked at night and felt perfectly safe.
Food served in their restaurant was good! Location is quite good for those travelers who wish to be early in airport. The spot is not good if you would like to walk within the city center as it will take you 10-15mins via motorela. The aircon was functioning well and the net connection was good too.
Though an obviously older hotel, it was well kept and clean.
There was actually a real blanket, not an extra sheet and the room was very roomy!! You didn't have to squeeze in to the bathroom or the bed 😂😂
Staff was great as always. I stay here every year and always returning. Holiday in Dipolog is not holiday without Bamboo Garden and its great and friendly staff. Good value for money!
Overall, we had a great experience. The whole place was clean, has a beautiful garden and right in front of the beach. Perfect for a private and quiet place to stay while in Dipolog.
Me and my wife stayed 3 times we will only stay at b&s for now on im coming back to the Philippines for Christmas we look forward to stay with b&s soon
