Great facilities and the shuttle into Alona beach was really helpful too! We also liked the buffet breakfast each morning and the staff were really nice. There’s also lots of places to eat within walking distance if you choose not to eat at the restaurant (Korean bbq across the road is so good).

The location of the house indeed is just near the hills, though limestone hills are actually scattered around the island. There are several hangout places in the house such as the living room, dining room and even the terrace which are very suitable for a group of, say, seven people or so. Solo and group travellers can take advantage of the other services offered by the host. A tip: you may ask the host for suggestions on the 'hidden gems' of the island as the host can also be hired as a local guide. Odelia is probably the best host we had in a whole month in the Philippines. And this is a good place to stay to explore not only the Chocolate Hills, the whole Bohol island. One good thing of this place is that no matter how hot it gets during the day, it always chills a bit at night, unlike by the sea.

To sum up our stay ... beautiful. the breakfast was included (cooked by the host and always tasted flavourful). To add to this it was a perfect location for the Chocolate Hills and the waterfalls. Under the hotel is a restaurant which serves great food but there are also good restaurants close by at a decent price. Lastly our host was nothing but accommodating, he helped us with the moped as well as getting to our next location - nothing was too much of an ask.
