I’m glad I went to Iquitos I always wanted to see the Amazon River the food was good in Iquitos I wouldn’t recommend more than 5 day’s there I stayed 7 a little to long for me would I go back probably not I enjoyed the jungle but would go a different city in Lorento the people around Plaza de Armas are a little to pushy for me to take there tours I would say no and they would persist I was impressed with the amount of people who spoke English very well I might add my Spanish is good though

I really didn't liked Iquitos, spend the night there and it was a night too much. the small city is very loud and full of smoke from the moto taxi.
Every place without price tag feels like it try to rip you off.

Iquitos is amazing.
Iquitos is amazing. The jungle is some of the richest forests in the world. While the city can appear dirty and poor to some, I found beauty and a real charm to the people and the hustle and bustle of motorbikes and tuk tuks.

We stayed at Kokopeli hostel and it was great! They only accept soles so make sure you have cash. Location was nice but no meals included. The jungle tour was incredible and I stayed at a bungalo without cell service, so it was nice to unplug. All meals were included with our tour. The boat rides were amazing, wildlife was beautiful. Absolutely take a jungle tour in Iquitos. I recommend 1 night 2 days.
Great and attentive staff. Our Spanish is a bit lacking but the staff all spoke fluent English which made communication much easier.
We had concerns about getting our heavy suitcase upstairs without a lift but they kindly brought our suitcase up and down for us.
They even made us an Ayahuasca diet friendly breakfast for the morning that we left for our retreat. Could not rate this place highly enough. If you need a clean, comfortable, well located stay in Iquitos you won’t be disappointed. We will return here.

I was also very grateful for the water filter in the kitchen and being able to cook. The location was great with a nice mini market right on the corner! I felt very welcome and came back several times after my trips to the jungle. The staff was kind and helpful, and I could store my luggage while I was gone. The internet connection was great! one of the best hostels i stayed in so far in Peru. this is mainly because of the very friendly, welcoming hosts. they are always there for you, especially the owner himself.
he gives you the best tips and good an honest advice on prices and activities. he is also very relaxed, so nice to come “home” to. also the breakfast and the ladies who serve this are great.

The kitchen is spacious and very well stocked. I appreciated the complimentary drinking water. The coffee maker was great. The fans in the kitchen and living room work well for ventilation. The air conditioner in the bedroom was strong and we slept well. The internet is excellent - it's the strongest wifi of the six places I've stay in Iquitos. The host is very attentive and always responded to my messages quickly.
Staff was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The place felt very safe and was clean.
WiFi was much better than excpected.
Around the hotel you can find planty tiny restaurants with local street food - it is tasty and very cheap.
In general location is not very close to the tourists attractions, but it feels more interesting in some other aspects.
The location was very central, exactly where you want to be if you are staying in Iquitos as a launching pad into the jungle. The view from the rooms are stunning. Nothing like waking up to the sunrise over the river. Chip was an excellent host and very helpful when it came to tips for what to do, where to go and what to expect for my jungle adventure.
It’s worth investing to get the bigger room, sit on the balcony and enjoy the view with locals! The staff helped us with laundry, and the food downstairs was pretty good. The coffee downstairs is great for working, and my son enjoyed the pool. The AC worked well, good quality price compared to other options in Iquitos!
I loved the the beautiful, well preserved building. The rooms are wonderfully huge and well equipped. There was even a kitchenette. The small pool is very welcome. Iquitos can be very hot. The staff are very friendly. The kitchen made me delicious eggs with tomatoes and onions.
The room is quiet for being in central Iquitos, dining area has everything needed, and many amenities are a short walk away. Was a great value for a private room. Luis was very welcoming in Spanish and English. Room was clean. Plugs in room can use both US and EU devices.
Breakfast was great....fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and eggs cooked to order. View from room was amazing, and room was quiet...no street noise as it was in my prior hotel in Iquitos. Chip and Yessica were amazing hosts! Would definitely come back!

The hotel is located 7 min walking from the city centre, Plaza the Armas. The stuff helped me with the taxi, from and to the airport. Also, they were kind and helped me with any kind of information or need.
