The resort and its location is like a secluded little magic place. The staff were super friendly and even offered us a free room-upgrade because we were there during the off-season. The dinner and breakfasts were great, and all in all w loved our (way too short) stay at Sama. Highly recommend!

Booking was so easy and the reason for my booking because my friends were not able to go for camping otherwise I would just go for it.
We found one cockroach in the room but wasn’t a big deal. The room was clean and fresh.

Beautiful Location on top of Jabel Shams.
Beautiful Location on top of Jabel Shams. Nature here takes your breath away, the sky, the sound, the smell, the open views. Please, please do not miss to attempt one of the many mountain walking tracks. Go even if only for hald hour!

As far as I know, there is nothing special about the village...
As far as I know, there is nothing special about the village of Dar Sawda, but there are 2 main hotels close by with access to hiking routes, mountain biking, abseiling, etc - both have their own restaurants and offer half-board accommodation (essential in this area). Our hotel/restaurant (Sama Heights Resort) was excellent. You really need a 4x4 vehicle to visit this area.
