This was a beautiful large studio with beautiful furnishings..fantastic bathroom with double shower and heated floor..fully equipped kitchen..very comfy bed and very quiet. Couldnt fault it.
I would rate this room up there with a Studio at Millbrook Resort so welll done to the owner . If you want something special would recommend.
Very handy to everything in Hanmer also.

The suites are very large and really comfortable with everything you could need. The bathrooms are fabulous and include a spa bath, which we didn't use. c.7km out of Hanmer Springs you are a bit 'captive' for dinner but great location if you want to relax and explore the area. Dinner was good and not too pricey - we had the lamb shank and parmesan encrusted salmon. The hotel was quiet when we stayed so there were not many staff members evident. We only stayed one night so didn't make use of the spa etc.
Just 300 metres from the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools, Kakapo Lodge boasts a guest lounge with a log fireplace and a large communal kitchen and dining area.

The location was superb with an easy walk to Hanmer shops, restaurants and hot pools. The lodge was very clean and warm with a lovely sunny deck and fire roaring in the reception area. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to give us a car park to ensure security for our mountain bikes.
