Great interaction with Neil the owner. He was very informative about the area which we appreciated. Neil also generously supplied us with petrol when we realised we wouldn't have made it to the next service station. As there was no running water in the cabin, Neil advised he would do all the dishes! Grateful for that.

Lots of outdoor activities with the Ohinemuri River right outside and a big choice of historical walks plus it's very close to join the Hauraki bike trails to either Paeroa or onwards to Waihi. It's such a beautiful area.

Beautiful area with wonderful walking/biking tracks, tunnels and an impressive waterfall. We also had an amazing dinner at Falls Retreat. Would recommend this trip to anyone who would like to spend a weekend in nature and exploring the outdoors.

Amazing secret retreat, just a short drive from Paeroa.

Amazing secret retreat, just a short drive from Paeroa. The deluxe suite had enough space for our family to feel comfortable. The host was amiable and I would definitely stay again if I were in the area of Pareoa. :)

We just went for a 2 nights away to spend some time together. So we didn't mind being in the middle of no where. Struggled to get food and coffee at the local towns but Maccas and KFC are open and approx 10min drive. We didn't go on any walks but they looked great.

Excellent location close to lovely walks in the gorge. Loved exploring the old mine tunnels . Made even more special by the glow worms that make these tunnels their home during the day. Well recommended.

we had a little trouble finding it as there is an Albert st in town Paeroa and that is where the map showed, it is actually out of town a short way. How ever this was not a problem just a bit confusing at the begging as we went there first. then we put our direction finder on and it took us to the correct place. Very clean and comfortable and owners very helpful and friendly. would definitley recommend to others and would stay there again
