Beautiful location and well equipped chalet. The interior is very cosy and stylish and even with some terrible weather, we still found it a lovely place to relax. Very handy to have the EV charging point to use at the accommodation. Would definitely recommend trying the floating Sauna at the Gaustablikk hotel as well as their pizza restaurant Stova and the bakery. Couldn't have asked for a more peaceful place to recuperate after Norseman!

We went to Rjukan to visit the heavy water plant and take the train/ funicular up Skillnarden.
The cold, wet weather only added to the imposing and threatening nature of the factory and shaded town. As there was no sun, the mirrors could not reflect any light into the town square.
The Rjukan hotel has a very good location for visiting the surrounding attractions, quite close to Krossobanen, Vemork museum and Hardangervidda. Nice, big rooms, good bed/mattress. Slightly old-school bathroom, but still clean and ok. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
Location was ideal for visiting town. Comfortable small hotel with nice staff and good restaurant. Informative historic photos throughout. Comfortable beds.
