The common spaces are very generous, offering several separate halls in a traditional Norwegian style, including a warm wood-fired sitting area, featuring a lot of enjoyable art on the walls, adjacent to a bar with the essentials. We always enjoy the spacious rooms for board games and conversations, and there is sufficient privacy. The billiard/pool and table tennis facilities are helpful for social purposes. The swimming pool and the sauna were operational, but we had no time to use these. The breakfast was good. The dinner was OK. We liked all members of the staff, and we salute their gestures for making our stay good.

A very cozy, yet spacious apartment with an excellent view. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the living room was very comfortable. Everything appeared to be very clean, including the nicely done bathroom. While we ended up not using the sauna or laundry machine, it is very convenient that they are available. Internet was very fast and reliable, so if you need to get some work done, you'll have no trouble. Last but not least, there was a good indoor parking garage available, which I expect will be useful in wintertime. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future!

Clean, well kept, spacious and practical apartment with beautiful view. Close to road, but traffic did not bother. Very friendly hostess. Considering very moderate price this accomodation was a real bargain.

This place looks lovely. Has everything needed for a good few nights stay. There is a supermarket 2 mins drive, shops and petrol station nearby.

Vinje county is wild and beautiful and has many historical buildings. We like to ski around Rauland and Holtardalen areas and they are connected. Take a short drive, we could also ski at Vierli and Raulandsfjell Alpinsenter AS area. It is by far the best place to ski in the western part of Norway.

I was in Rauland for the Telemark Heroes ski event in early March so it was quite busy with many visitors, but I suspect normally that it is a quiet small town. However, It has it's own ski centre and is a good base for exploring the adjacent Hardangervidda National Park.
The receptionist was lovely although she did not speak much english. I was very pleased that we were able to book the stay only 2 hours before arriving at the hotel. Breakfast was very good! It was very quiet at night during our stay which we very enjoyed. Bathroom was very clean, the room was ok, had two beds, table and balcony exit.
The location of this hotel is it's selling point - you can see why this place is very popular. The view at the back of the hotel is just amazing, you cannot help but be impressed by it.
The breakfast was also excellent - lots of choice, ready for the day ahead.
Nice kitchen with all the pots, pans, etc. that you need. Possible to use a fireplace. Good internet connection, so we could comfortably work remotely for a week. Very large bed in one of the rooms. Very spacious for two people. Nice outside view :)

Hotel is nice, it is situated in a campus. Breakfast in the morning is good, rooms are comfortable and not so small as I expected. Staff is kind, especially the lady at the reception.
