We were genealogy oriented to search out ancestral farms but visited the church and nearby silver mine (great underground tour experience). The city was a bit dead in the evening and places to eat were few and far between within walking distance.
I drive an electrical vehicle. There is a large charging station 100 meter from the hotel with several 22/50/150 kW chargers. It on the ground floor under the Stortorvet Shopping center in combination with the ESSO tank station. Parking is overpriced but that is not the hotels fault.
Location. Breakfast was by far the best this summer. Buffet with a minimalistic array of edible food to choose from which is so unlike other hotel breakfasts we have had that display a variety of dishes yet we end up with a toast and a ham or a sunny-side-up.
very good hostel, i go there often since the only affordable accommodation in Kongsberg. good rooms, very good breakfast, common kitchen and living space available, all perfectly working
